Stop chasing perfection and start building a sustainable practice. Learn the foundations of Ashtanga yoga with live guidance and a supportive online community.

Announcing our online course for beginners. This is your chance to learn the first half of the Primary Series with direct guidance and build a practice you can continue for life.

People often ask how to start. The key is structure, guidance, and community, all of which are central to our beginner's course. We give you the tools to practice correctly and with confidence.

My online offerings include our Mysore program for existing practitioners and this comprehensive course for beginners. We provide a path for you to start and grow in your Ashtanga journey.

This course is more than just learning poses. It's a four-week immersive experience with daily classes, community support, and individual attention to help you build a healthy, lasting habit.

If you want yoga to truly help you live the life you want, it starts with a single step. Join us to learn the foundations in a supportive environment.

To practice correctly and for the long term, you need a teacher who has walked the path. I am here to guide you so you don't get lost or give up halfway.

My goal is to help you turn instructions into your own experience. Ashtanga is an intelligent practice that becomes meditative as you deepen your understanding of the body and breath.

For four weeks, my co-teacher Ira and I will gently guide you through the practice. You will learn to practice independently in the classic Mysore style of Ashtanga yoga.

To see results, you need to practice with attention and as much regularity as you can manage. Mechanical repetition achieves nothing; yoga is about turning your attention inward.

About The Online Course: Ashtanga from Scratch

Most yoga classes just show you the poses, but we focus on the Tristhana method: breath, posture, and gaze. In this four-week hybrid program, you don't just follow along; you learn the 'why' behind every movement so you can practice confidently on your own, even on days when your schedule is messy or life gets in the way.

Your Foundation, Built Right

Copying shapes you see on social media doesn't create a real practice. Ashtanga is an intelligent, structured system, but it is often taught in a way that feels intimidating. We flip that script. Whether you are a total beginner or a yogi looking for a restart, this course breaks down the complex into the manageable.

The Hybrid Advantage

You get the structure of a live classroom with the flexibility of digital learning. We meet daily via Zoom to practice together, which builds the accountability you need to show up. You aren't just watching a screen; we are watching you, correcting your form, and answering your questions in real-time.

What makes this different is the lifetime access. Life happens—kids wake up, work runs late, travel gets in the way. With over 30 technical videos and recorded practice sets in your library, you have a resource that stays with you long after the four-week course ends.

What You Will Learn

  • Tristhana Method: Deepening your understanding of Ujjayi breath, Bandhas (energy locks), and Drishti (gaze points).
  • Asana Technique: Proper alignment for Sun Salutations and standing postures, ensuring you stay safe while building strength.
  • Self-Practice: How to roll out your mat and practice on your own, without needing a teacher to hold your hand forever.

We keep the group size intimate because we believe in quality over quantity. This isn't about fitness models; it's about building a practice that serves your mental and physical health for the long term.

I’m Tanya, and my own practice isn't always on the mat at the same time every day. Motherhood taught me that yoga is about showing up for yourself, no matter how messy life gets. My co-teacher Ira and I created this course to give you that same freedom, helping you build a foundation that actually lasts.
