Shatkriya is the traditional way to purify the body, removing blockages to prepare for deeper meditation. At my studio, we guide you through these ancient cleansing processes in a safe, step-by-step environment.

An instructor demonstrates Jal Neti, a yogic technique for nasal cleansing using a neti pot. This practice is excellent for clearing the sinuses and improving respiratory health.

A student practices Sutra Neti, using a thread to cleanse the nasal passages. This is an advanced kriya that we teach with careful, step-by-step guidance.

A student smiles while practicing Jal Neti. While it may look unusual, it's a refreshing and highly beneficial practice for clearing the head and breath pathways.

A female student performs Jal Neti with a steel pot. We ensure all our students learn these traditional techniques safely and effectively.

Two students practice Sutra Neti together. Learning these techniques in a supportive group environment helps build confidence.

This video shows me demonstrating Sutra Neti. I guide students personally through these advanced cleansing practices to ensure they are performed correctly.

A student tries Sutra Neti for the first time. Our course is a safe space to challenge yourself and learn these powerful, traditional yogic techniques.

Another student works with Sutra Neti. You can see the focus and determination that our students bring to every aspect of their training.

Our happy group of students after a Shatkriya session. There's a great sense of accomplishment and clarity after completing these cleansing practices.

A student laughs while learning Sutra Neti. We believe the journey of learning should be filled with lighthearted moments, even when tackling challenging techniques.

About Shatkriya: Yogic Cleansing

Trying techniques like Jal Neti or Sutra Neti alone can be intimidating, but it does not have to be. In my sessions, we focus entirely on the technique, ensuring your comfort and safety. I guide every student personally, so you learn how to perform these cleansing practices correctly, leaving you feeling clear, refreshed, and ready for your deeper pranayama and meditation practice.

Understanding Shatkriya

Shatkriya refers to the six traditional cleansing techniques described in Hatha Yoga texts. These are not just physical habits; they are essential preparations for the body to handle the internal energy changes that occur during advanced yoga. By removing excess mucus, toxins, and impurities from the respiratory and digestive tracts, you open the pathways for breath and mental clarity.

What We Practice

In our training sessions at our AECS Layout and Varthur centers, we prioritize safety above all else. You will learn:

  • Jal Neti: Nasal irrigation using warm, saline water to clear sinuses and improve breath flow.
  • Sutra Neti: Using a specialized thread for deep nasal cleaning, performed with my direct, one-on-one supervision to ensure proper angle and movement.

Why Learn With Us?

Many students come to me having read about these practices but feeling nervous about trying them. My approach is to demystify these techniques. We provide the necessary Kriya kit as part of our teacher training and advanced workshops. Whether you are aiming to become a certified teacher or simply want to improve your respiratory health and focus, you will find a supportive, family-like environment where we celebrate every student's breakthrough. We keep our batches small so that every student gets the hands-on adjustment and guidance they need to practice these advanced kriyas with confidence.

After a session, you will notice an immediate difference in your nasal passage, focus, and overall vitality. It is a powerful way to start your day or prepare for a long meditation session.
