Yoga is a journey best shared. Explore the strength, trust, and balance we cultivate together through Acro and Partner yoga at Arya Power Yoga Academy.

This sequence shows the progression of a foundational acro yoga pose. It begins with the base establishing stability and ends with the flyer in a beautiful backbend, all built on trust and clear communication.

An excellent example of a three-person acro yoga formation. This pose requires each person to play their part, combining the strength of two bases with the balance of the flyer in a standing split.

This dynamic three-person acro pose showcases incredible balance and core strength from all partners. The flyer holds a challenging leg variation while being supported by two bases in a bridge and backbend.

A beautiful and advanced acro yoga flow. This sequence combines a Scorpion Handstand by the flyer with a deep backbend from the base, creating a stunning shape that requires immense strength and flexibility from both partners.

This partner pose demonstrates a creative way to practice Bakasana, or Crow Pose. The base provides a stable platform, allowing the flyer to focus on arm balance and core engagement.

Here we see a classic acro yoga pose known as "Bird". The base supports the flyer at the hips with their feet, allowing the flyer to extend fully and feel a sense of flying.

Partner work can be a wonderful way to assist with deep stretches. In this video, one partner supports the other in a standing split, helping to improve flexibility and balance safely.

This dynamic partner stretch is excellent for opening the back and shoulders. It's a beautiful example of how two people can work together to create a fluid, graceful movement that feels wonderful.

This acro yoga flow shows a transition from a seated position to a stable standing pose on the base's feet. It is a playful and effective way to build trust and core stability.

A demonstration of strength and control in acro yoga. The base supports the flyer in a horizontal position before transitioning into a beautiful backbend, showcasing the seamless flow between poses.

About Acro & Partner Yoga

In our partner sessions, we don't just focus on the pose. We teach the base and flyer dynamic, emphasizing clear communication and safety protocols. You will learn how to spot your partner effectively, ensuring every inversion and stretch is practiced with complete confidence, not fear. Whether you are working on core stability or deep backbends, I guide you to find balance through mutual support.

At Arya Power Yoga Academy, we view Acro Yoga as more than just physical movement; it is a profound exercise in trust and communication. When you practice with a partner, the barriers of ego dissolve. You must listen to your partner’s breath and respond to their subtle movements. This synchronicity builds a connection that individual practice often misses.

Safety is our priority. Every session begins with setting a foundation. I personally supervise how the base supports the flyer, ensuring alignment is never compromised for aesthetics. From the foundational Bird pose to complex inversions like the Scorpion or synchronized forearm stands, we move in steady, safe progressions. Beginners are never pushed into advanced flows. We use props and manual spotting to build the necessary core strength and flexibility first.

Why choose partner yoga? It is highly effective for weight management, deep stretching (where a partner acts as a natural extension of your own reach), and mental focus. The dynamic flow—moving from a seated base to standing balance—challenges your proprioception in ways that mat yoga cannot. Come join us to see how, when you support another, you ultimately support your own growth.
