Striking Classes in Saket: Boxing & Muay Thai
Build power, precision, and defensive IQ. From fundamentals to live sparring, our striking program turns beginners into disciplined athletes.
In our group classes, we focus on live-action drills. Here, members practice their striking defense and footwork, learning to react and move in a dynamic environment under the watchful eye of a coach.
One-on-one pad work is crucial for building technique. A coach works with a student on their boxing fundamentals, focusing on proper form, guard, and punch delivery.
Light sparring is where theory meets practice. Two members engage in a controlled kickboxing exchange, wearing protective gear to safely practice their timing, distance management, and combinations.
Our Muay Thai program is led by national champion Udit Negi. Here you can see him demonstrating technique before a student practices a powerful high kick on the pads.
The journey begins with mastering your own movement. A student practices shadowboxing, an essential drill for improving footwork, rhythm, and muscle memory for striking combinations.
Precision and timing are key in Muay Thai. Two of our advanced practitioners drill combinations on the focus mitts, sharpening their reflexes and accuracy.
It's never too early to learn to defend yourself. A young student in our beginners' batch learns the basics of punching form and keeping her guard up during a pad work drill.
The heavy bag is where you build power and endurance. A fighter works on his boxing combinations, focusing on putting his whole body into each punch.
Hands up, chin down. Two members practice their boxing defense and offense during a partner drill, learning to slip punches and counter effectively.
Our MMA beginners' batch in action. We create a welcoming environment where new students can learn striking fundamentals together, building a solid foundation from day one.
About Striking: The Sweet Science & Art of Eight Limbs
Striking is not just about throwing punches. In our Saket studio, you will learn the crucial difference between heavy bag work, where you build raw power, and technical partner drills, where you master distance and defense under the watchful eye of a coach. You need both to understand the sweet science of fighting.
Our striking program at Art of Defense blends the precise footwork of Western Boxing with the aggressive, full-body power of Muay Thai and Kickboxing. We call it the art of eight limbs because you learn to use fists, elbows, knees, and shins to control your opponent.
We do not believe in throwing you into the deep end immediately. You start by perfecting your stance, guard, and basic combinations in front of the mirror and on the bags. Once your mechanics are solid, we move to focus mitts and partner drills. This is where you learn how to slip a jab, check a kick, and counter with intent.
Our classes are led by coaches like national champion Udit Negi, who bring experience from their own time in the ring and specialized training in Thailand. Whether you are coming in for a morning session before work or hitting the evening batches to blow off steam, you get the same level of attention.
We train in a structured, safe environment in Saket using quality USI gear, but do not mistake safety for ease. Expect a high-intensity output that builds your cardio and functional strength. If you have never wrapped your hands before or if you are looking to sharpen your existing game for competition, you will find a place on our mats. We focus on reality-based training, meaning you learn to move and react against a live opponent, not just hit stationary targets.
