Mastering Striking: Boxing & Muay Thai Training in Gurugram
I don't just teach you to throw punches; I teach you to fight with rhythm and power. From boxing basics to Muay Thai kicks, here is how we sharpen your hands and feet.
Boxing is the foundation of striking. In this group drill, students are practicing their punches, head movement, and footwork in a dynamic, interactive setting.
In my class, you will be pushed. Here, I am working on boxing combinations and reaction time with a student during an intense pad work session.
One-on-one pad work allows me to correct a student's form in real-time. We focus on details like punch delivery, defensive posture, and creating angles.
Power and technique in every kick. We drill Muay Thai fundamentals, focusing on generating force from the hips for devastating roundhouse kicks.
Putting in the hours on the heavy bag is non-negotiable. This is where you sharpen your boxing combinations and build the endurance to keep your hands up.
A fighter needs a strong engine. We mix striking drills like jab-cross combos and body shots with explosive conditioning exercises like burpees to build fight-ready fitness.
Adding dynamic techniques to your arsenal. Here, I'm breaking down the superman punch on the heavy bag, a powerful tool for closing distance in a fight.
About Striking: Stand-Up Combat
In my sessions, we don’t just throw punches at the air. You will be on the heavy bag for real resistance, and we spend time on one-on-one pad work where I personally correct your stance, hip rotation, and guard. It is not about how hard you hit on day one; it is about fixing the technical leaks in your form so you can generate real power without risking injury.
Why Striking Takes More Than Just Power
Real striking is about discipline and repetition. You cannot rush the process. Whether you are walking in as a beginner or an athlete, the foundation remains the same: balance, footwork, and rhythm.
What We Work On
- Boxing Basics: We start with the jab and cross, but we focus heavily on head movement and slips. You will learn how to maintain your guard while you move.
- Muay Thai & Kicking: Once your hands are sorted, we incorporate the lower half. Generating force from your hips for roundhouse kicks and using knees and elbows correctly is a different game altogether.
- Pad Work & Heavy Bags: This is where you test your conditioning. We use USI heavy bags to build impact tolerance and do intensive rounds of pad work to sharpen your reaction time and combination speed.
The Bodhi Raan Approach
We train in a no-frills, basement-level setup in Sector 38, Gurugram. It is non-AC, it gets hot, and you will sweat. But this environment is meant to simulate the pressure of a real fight. You are not here for a luxury experience; you are here to build yourself, khud ke dam par (on your own strength).
Your ego is your enemy on the mat. If you are here to show off, you will get tired fast. If you are here to learn and you are ready to put in the years, not just months, then we will get along just fine. Come ready to work, follow the drills, and we will build a fighter out of you.
