Boxing & Striking Technique in Saket
We strip striking back to the basics—footwork, power, and rhythm. Whether you are throwing your first jab or drilling complex combinations, our Saket studio is where you build the fight game from the ground up.
This is our mantra: hands up, chin down. In our group boxing classes, we drill the fundamentals relentlessly because the work never stops.
Every punch tells a story of the work you put in. Our group classes are all about high-volume drilling to build muscle memory and perfect your boxing technique.
The fight is won in the shadows long before you step on the mat. We use shadowboxing to refine technique, improve footwork, and visualize combinations.
A typical high-energy session on the mats. Our members practice a mix of boxing combinations, pad work, and kicking drills in a dynamic group setting.
Precision and power are honed through partner drills. Here, our members work on their boxing combinations with focus mitts, improving accuracy and reaction time under a coach's supervision.
From shadowboxing to heavy bag work, we drill the fundamentals. Here a young fighter transitions from practicing his form to applying it with power on the bag.
Footwork is the foundation of all striking. We use tools like weight plates to teach balance, stability, and fluid movement while maintaining a solid boxing stance.
A moment from our group boxing class. Everyone is squared up, hands high, ready to drill the techniques that build sharp, effective strikers.
We start them young. Here, a young athlete works on his boxing combinations on the heavy bag, builds agility with cone drills, and develops strength with kettlebell swings.
A look into our MMA Beginner's Batch. We focus on building a strong foundation through shadowboxing, heavy bag work, and conditioning exercises like medicine ball slams.
About Boxing & Striking Technique
Most people think boxing is all about the hands, but we drill the feet first. If your base is shaky, your punch loses its snap. We spend real time on stance, balance, and weight distribution, not just heavy bag smashing, so you actually learn how to move like a fighter, not just a gym-goer.
The AOD Approach to Striking
We don't do cookie-cutter classes. Our striking sessions at Art of Defense are designed to build muscle memory that holds up when the pressure is on. Whether you are interested in boxing, kickboxing, or MMA, the principles remain the same: technique over ego.
What We Focus On
- Foundational Footwork: You will learn how to cut angles, pivot, and maintain your stance. A powerful punch starts from the ground up, and we make sure your foundation is solid before you start throwing heavy combinations.
- Shadowboxing: We use this to bridge the gap between imagination and reality. It is where you refine your movement, work on defensive head placement, and visualize your opponent without the distraction of equipment.
- Partner Pad Work: This is where you test your timing and accuracy. You will work with coaches and partners to improve your reaction speed, distance management, and the snap of your shots.
- Heavy Bag Conditioning: Once the technique is there, we introduce the bag. Here, we focus on power, rhythm, and endurance, ensuring you can maintain your output for full rounds.
Who This Is For
Our Saket facility welcomes everyone. We have dedicated batches for absolute beginners who have never put on a pair of gloves, as well as more intense sessions for those looking to sharpen their skills for competition. We don't care how fit you are when you walk in; we care about the work you put in once you are on the mat. No shortcuts, no excuses—just consistent, hard training.
