About A Gallery of Student Work
You might notice that none of these pieces are perfect in the traditional sense, and that is entirely intentional. In our studio, we focus on the process of creation rather than the final product, helping you let go of expectations and simply enjoy the feel of the clay. Whether you are a total beginner or a curious hobbyist, our workshops in HRBR Layout are designed for you to embrace the mess and find a quiet moment for yourself.
Why We Focus on the Process
When you scroll through these photos, you are seeing more than just pots and sculptures. You are seeing snapshots of conversations. Some are from our 'Muddy Puddles' sessions where children explore the natural world, while others come from adults looking to switch off and find some headspace. My studio is less of a rigid classroom and more of a community hangout, or as we like to call it, an adda.
What You Can Create
Our students work on a diverse range of projects. You will see:
- Hand-building: Using coils and slabs to create organic shapes like animals or decorative tiles.
- Wheel Throwing: Learning the mechanics of centering and pulling walls to create functional bowls and cups.
- Sculpting: Detailed projects where we focus on anatomy and form, like the realistic vegetables or animal figures you see in our gallery.
