About Kids & Clay: The "Muddy Puddles" Sessions
In our Muddy Puddles sessions, the focus is entirely on the process, not the final product. We use non-toxic, kid-safe clay and provide all aprons, allowing your child to explore hand-building techniques like coiling and slab construction while getting as messy as they want.
Clay is a powerful medium for children to build fine motor skills, patience, and self-confidence. In our HRBR Layout studio, we strip away the pressure to create something perfect. Instead, we encourage kids to build their own narratives, whether they are sculpting a herd of dinosaurs, intricate sea creatures, or simple clay silhouettes. These 90-minute sessions are designed to be tactile and sensory-rich. We guide children through basic hand-building methods, giving them the tools to translate their imagination into 3D forms. It is wonderful to see how children approach a lump of clay; often, they know more about the creatures they want to build than we do, and we love learning right alongside them. If you are worried about the mess, do not be. We have an apron for every child and a space built for creative chaos. These sessions are perfect for after-school energy or weekend exploration. We currently run batches on Tuesdays and Fridays, ensuring a small group size so every child gets the attention they need to bring their ideas to life.
