We approach every project as a conversation between nature and built form. Step inside our Worli studio to see how we prioritize light, material, and collaborative, slow living in our own workspace.

Our office courtyard, with its central frangipani tree, brings light and peace into the workspace. It serves as a perfect spot for team lunches and breakout moments, connecting our team with nature throughout the day.

The ethereal lightness of our studio space, where sunlight paints nature’s hues across the room. Glimpses of vibrant trees outside are framed by large glass walls, blurring the line between inside and out.

Our courtyard is a visual delight of sunlight and greenery. It also serves a practical purpose as the perfect spot for viewing material samples in natural daylight.

The double-volume space in our studio features a floor-to-ceiling grid of marble shelves. This element is both functional for storage and instrumental in breaking down the scale of the large space.

The main staircase in our office is designed as a multi-functional element. Its deeper steps create a stepped seating area, transforming a circulation space into a social hub for presentations, discussions, and casual gatherings.

Shefali and Robert lead our collective of architects and designers between our Mumbai and Rotterdam studios. We do not just draft blueprints; we obsess over how light interacts with structures and how custom joinery can alter the flow of a home. For us, every space is an opportunity to reconnect with the environment.

This double-height living room in our Mango Orchard House project embodies our design ethos. Expansive floor-to-ceiling windows dissolve the barrier between the interior and the lush landscape, while the minimalist design allows natural light and the surrounding greenery to become the primary features of the space.8
In this urban apartment, we balanced a neutral, textured palette with bold, sculptural furniture and vibrant art. The design creates a sophisticated living area that feels both dynamic and inviting, with large windows framing the city skyline.

We believe even functional elements can be art. This dog-legged staircase, crafted from rich teak wood and accented with brass, is a sculptural centerpiece that also cleverly incorporates hidden storage, demonstrating our focus on integrated and thoughtful design.

A Symphony of Materials: Our Studio and Design Details

We designed this expansive living room as a large cuboidal volume, using architectural elements to manage its scale. The ceiling is subdivided into quadrants, with dramatic vaults that draw the eye and create a sense of rhythm, an approach that renders the design intent authentic. The refined grey scale palette is softened by plush, minimalist furniture and a statement spherical pendant light, establishing a dialogue between the living and dining areas.10
In this master bedroom from the Vaulted Haus, we used a four-poster bed to define the volume within the larger space. The headboard wall is a study in texture, combining frosted glass bricks with custom grey veneer strips. This layering of materials, along with the vaulted ceiling and tensioned rope lighting, creates a serene and sophisticated sanctuary.
This living room from our 'A Hint of Azul' project demonstrates how partitions can define space without enclosing it. A curved, slatted partition separates the living and dining areas, allowing natural light to filter through while seamlessly integrating the HVAC system. The cool grey palette is punctuated by strategic hints of blue, creating a calm yet dynamic environment.
We believe in the honest expression of materials. For this bar area, we conceptualized a Gabion wall, trapping randomly sized stones in a metal wire mesh to create a raw, textural fascia. This Brutalist element is contrasted with a sleek, dark green marble backsplash and minimalist pendant lighting, forming part of a 'black scoop' that unifies the entrance, bar, and kitchen.

This view captures the essence of the Multilevel House, where staggered floors, a custom bookcase, and a large window framing the trees create a dynamic yet peaceful living environment. It shows how I use architecture to shape experience.8
In this lounge, I used a bold color palette and a custom arched glass screen to define the space while maintaining a sense of openness. The design balances modern art with classic materials for a home that feels both exciting and comfortable.
A master bedroom designed as a minimalist refuge. The simple archway creates a gentle transition into a quiet reading nook, demonstrating my belief that homes should provide spaces for peace and silence away from a frenetic world.
This custom staircase is a centerpiece, not just a utility. I replaced a bulky concrete structure with this lighter, open-riser design in metal and solid timber, allowing sunlight to flow freely through the duplex home.
