Prenatal Yoga Workshops for Birth Preparation
Beyond just asanas, these focused workshops help you prepare for the realities of labor, baby care, and deep relaxation. Join our online sessions to build confidence with practical tools for your journey.
Here is a look at our January event calendar. We offer a mix of regular classes and special workshops like Labor Management and Baby Led Weaning to support you through pregnancy and beyond.
Our Labor Management workshop is based on Lamaze principles and is perfect for the third trimester. I highly recommend partners join, as they play such an important role in labor.
The 'Inhale for your Baby' workshop focuses on pranayama, or breathing techniques, for pregnancy. It's a beautiful way to connect with your baby and calm your nervous system.
This video gives you a feel for our Pregnancy Pranayama workshop. It's as simple as practicing your breathing regularly to create a peaceful connection with your baby.
Our March calendar was packed with events, including a Labor Management webinar and a Garbhasanskara workshop for deep bonding with your baby.
In February, we hosted workshops on perineal massage, a Valentine's special partner yoga session, and our 'Womb Whispers' Yoga Nidra.
Our Valentine's Day partner yoga workshop is a wonderful way for you and your partner to connect and prepare for birth together.
This Labor & Birth Prep workshop focuses on practical techniques like perineal massage and using a birth ball to help you during labor.
'Womb Whispers' is my special Yoga Nidra workshop for pregnancy. It's a guided meditation for deep relaxation and connecting with your baby.
Our April events included a workshop on starting solids with baby-led weaning and another session of 'Womb Whispers' Yoga Nidra.
About Workshops for Deeper Preparation
These workshops are not theory classes. Whether it is learning perineal massage techniques for labor or understanding the difference between gagging and choking during baby-led weaning, we focus on the practical skills you will actually use. My goal is to make sure you have real, hands-on strategies ready before your big day.
Beyond the Mat: Practical Birth Preparation
Pregnancy is a physical journey, but it is also a mental and emotional transition. While my regular yoga classes help with strength and mobility, these specialized workshops are designed to give you specific tools for the chapters that follow.
What we cover in these sessions:
- Lamaze-Based Labor Management: We break down labor physiology, comfort measures, and the partner’s role. These sessions are about knowing what is actually happening during labor and having choices.
- Womb Whispers (Yoga Nidra): Pregnancy can be overwhelming. This is a guided relaxation practice to help you rest deeply, lower your stress levels, and reconnect with your baby.
- Baby-Led Weaning: We move into the postpartum phase by demystifying how to introduce solids safely, handling safety concerns, and establishing healthy eating habits for your baby.
- Prenatal Breathing (Pranayama): Learn breathwork that you can actually use to manage discomfort during labor and stay calm throughout pregnancy.
Why join online?
I believe support should be accessible from the comfort of your own home. You do not need to commute to a studio. All workshops are live on Zoom, meaning you get real-time feedback, verbal adjustments, and a chance to ask questions about your specific fears or hospital protocols. If you cannot make a session, recordings are available so you do not miss out on the information you need. These are small group settings, so it stays personal.
