My Personal Practice: Yoga Through Motherhood
This is where I share my own journey, the routines that kept me grounded, and the reality of navigating movement while growing a human.
This was me during my second trimester. My morning routine of practice and quiet contemplation was my anchor. Even with my dog Cinnamon sleeping beside me, it was my perfect 'me time'.
This is a glimpse into my own practice. Yoga has been my constant companion, especially through my own pregnancy. It’s my way of staying grounded and connected to my body, and I love sharing that feeling with you.
About My Personal Practice
When I was pregnant with Bhadra, my morning routine was my anchor, petting my dog, having a quiet drink, and finding time on the mat. Now that she is here, 'me time' has shifted, but I still use those early techniques to reset. It is not about finding the perfect hour. It is about knowing how to breathe and center yourself in the small pockets of time you actually get.
My practice is not just about poses. It is a toolkit. When I share videos of myself in the second trimester, I am showing you that even when you are tired or just want to carry that belly around, movement helps. I teach you to find those stretches that open your hips or calm your nervous system, even when you aren't doing a full class.
Transitioning from the structure of pregnancy yoga to the unpredictable nature of new motherhood taught me that we need flexible tools, not rigid schedules. My online sessions, whether it is prenatal yoga or postnatal recovery, are built on this. We use props like chairs and pillows, so you do not need a gym setup, just a corner of your home. You will learn pelvic floor strengthening, breathing for labor, and the kind of meditation that actually lets you rest. It is about trusting your body, whether you are preparing for birth or recovering from it.
