Yoga is not just about holding poses; it is about building functional strength that lasts. At my studio in Noida, we use a mix of flow, props, and weights to help you become truly lachila, furtila, and taakatvar.

I believe in a holistic approach to fitness. This video shows how I combine yoga with weight training, using dumbbells and gym equipment to build muscle strength, which complements the flexibility gained from yoga practice.

The plank is a fantastic full body exercise for building core strength without any equipment. This video demonstrates different plank variations, like moving from an elbow plank to a high plank, to challenge your stability and endurance.

Paripurna Navasana, or Boat Pose, is a challenging asana that builds core strength, improves posture, and strengthens the hip flexors. It requires balance and focus, making it a great pose for both mental and physical conditioning.

Hanumanasana, or the full splits, requires significant hip flexibility. This video shows some of the preparatory poses I teach to help students safely and gradually work towards this advanced asana by opening up the hips and hamstrings.

Dynamic stretching, as shown in this video, is excellent for warming up the body, especially before activities that involve running or jumping. This flow helps to increase blood flow to the muscles and improve mobility.

Utthita Paschimottanasana is an intense stretch that requires both flexibility and core control. The feeling of pushing your limits in a safe way is a sign that you are working correctly and making your practice more effective.

The headstand, or Sirsasana, is known as the king of all asanas. It requires significant upper body and core strength, balance, and concentration. With proper guidance, it is a powerful pose for improving circulation and focus.

Using a wall is a great way to build the strength and confidence needed for inversions like handstands and backbends. This practice helps you get comfortable being upside down while building shoulder and core stability.

About Building Strength & Flexibility

Many students come to me thinking yoga is only for flexibility, but my approach combines it with light weights and resistance exercises to build real, functional strength. In my studio, we do not just rely on body weight; we use props like straps and occasional dumbbells to ensure your muscles are engaged correctly, helping you gain tone while improving your range of motion.
