About Indian Classical Dance Classes
My Dance Journey
Dance is honestly my world. Bharathanatyam and Kathak aren't just skills for me - I've grown up breathing them. My sister and I, we're called the 'dancing sisters', and this art runs in our family. Every time I step on stage or choreograph something new, it feels like a celebration of our parampara (tradition).
Our Way of Teaching
I see dance as more than just steps. It's about telling stories, feeling every emotion, and pushing creative boundaries. I mix old-school Indian classical with fusion Indian dance choreography, so you get a solid base and the freedom to explore your own style. I never stop learning myself, and that keeps our classes fresh.
What You Learn
- Bharathanatyam technique classes: Strong basics, karanas, nrittahastas, and keeping it truly traditional
- Kathak storytelling workshops: Rhythm, graceful moves, and learning how to express through dance
- All levels welcome - whether you're just starting or want to perform full productions
Real Stage Experience
We train you for more than the classroom. You'll be part of group ensembles, big themed dance dramas, and you'll actually get to perform at events and festivals. Getting comfortable on stage is a big part of what I do.
Studio Vibes
We follow the Guru-Shishya tradition in dance - lots of respect, but also laughter and fun. The studio is a relaxed space, but when it's showtime, you get to dress up and feel the magic of performance.
If you feel like dance is calling you, come join the Natyanjali family. It's not just about learning - it's about living the art.

My Story
Hey, we’re the Natyanjali School of Dance, run by me and my sister Spurthi – the dancing sisters from Bangalore! Dance is our life, not just a job. Our roots are deep in Kannada parampara (tradition). I still remember performing in Amma’s old wedding saree – those moments make our art personal. We mix our family stories and heritage into every step. Apart from dance, travel is our jam – every place has a story, just like every performance.
My Work
Performances & Choreography - Solo, duet, and group acts in Bharathanatyam and Kathak. Big events, festivals, you name it.
Teaching & Training - We teach traditional dance training in Bangalore, passing on what we've learned to new dancers.
Our Style - Blending old-school moves with fresh ideas. Contemporary Indian dance acts with soul.
Special Productions - Kathak fusion performances like 'Garuda Gamana', and powerful acts like 'Durge' for corporate and international shows.
