Step into our Natyanjali studio in JP Nagar, where we blend the discipline of traditional Guru-Shishya training with the joy of artistic expression. ✨

Rehearsals in full swing for our "Goverdhan Leela" production. Here, our dancers are working on a dynamic sequence that tells a story from Lord Krishna's life.

The energy and excitement of our dancers as they rehearse for a performance at a Tedx event. We often prepare special choreographies for unique platforms like this.

A behind-the-scenes look at our Kathak students rehearsing their very first group composition. It's wonderful to see them embrace the rhythmic footwork and fluid movements of this style.

A moment from a choreography session, showing our dancers learning a formation in a line. This kind of coordinated movement is key for our large ensemble pieces.

Our Abhinava Dance Company artists, both male and female dancers, practicing a scene together. Our classes and productions welcome all who have a passion for dance.

Dancers filled with energy and expression during a practice session in our well-lit studio. We encourage every student to fully immerse themselves in the character and emotion of the choreography.

About this collection

We practice on professional sprung wooden flooring, which is a crucial detail for any serious dancer. This specialized surface is designed to absorb impact and protect your knees during heavy footwork like Tatkar or Adavus, allowing you to dance longer and safer during our intensive sessions.

Our studio in JP Nagar is more than just a dance space; it is where we keep the Guru-Shishya tradition alive while ensuring you get a modern, high-quality learning experience. We believe that proper technique starts with a strong foundation, and that is why we prioritize the physical aspects of training just as much as the artistic ones.

Why train at Natyanjali?

  • Injury Prevention: Beyond our sprung wooden floors, we use full-length mirrors to ensure your Angashuddhi (body geometry) is precise, helping you avoid repetitive strain.
  • Small Group Sizes: Our batches are limited to 10 to 15 students. This ensures that Spurthi or I can actually see your movements and provide specific corrections, rather than just calling out steps to a crowd.
  • Holistic Curriculum: You are not just learning to dance. You are learning the rhythmic patterns of Kathak or the intricate Mudras of Bharathanatyam, combined with the discipline of stage presence.
  • Performance Ready: Many of our students eventually join our Natyanjali Ensemble. We train you for the classroom, but we also prepare you for the stage, teaching you about lighting, blocking, and how to carry a story through movement.

Whether you are a beginner looking to understand the basics or an advanced student preparing for an Arangetram, our studio environment is designed to help you grow with confidence. 🙏

Hi, I am Adithi. My sister Spurthi and I run the Natyanjali School of Dance, and this studio is truly our second home. We started this space to share the beautiful art our Amma gifted us, keeping our Kannada roots alive while pushing the boundaries of what classical dance can be. ❤️
