About Bharatanatyam Workshops & Teaching
Dance is always a journey for me, not just a set of moves. I love sharing Bharatanatyam because every class feels like a fresh start - there's always something new to see (chennagi nodi).
What I Offer
-
Workshops:
I run intensive dance workshops in different cities across India and sometimes abroad. Some I do with Parshwanath anna. These are open to anyone - total beginners, seasoned dancers, whoever's got the itch to learn. We cover everything from crisp Bharatanatyam technique (Adavus, Talam, Nritta) to the more subtle side, like expressive dance storytelling (Abhinaya). Warm-ups, full pieces, even stuff like handling exhaustion or avoiding injuries - it's all in there. Workshops are usually 1-4 days, sometimes even residential if you want to go all-in. -
Regular Classes (Bangalore):
I teach ongoing classes as part of the 'Antarshaala' program at Upadhye School of Dance. These run for kids and adults, focusing on a strong base plus stage readiness. Admissions don’t run all year, so that’s something to keep in mind.
My Teaching Style
I keep my classes honest and open. I focus hard on Talam, precision, and the technical side, but also on Abhinaya - because dance isn’t just steps. I want everyone to push themselves, but not at the cost of kindness or enjoyment.
Every session, I’m learning too. That's the best part.

My Story
Hey, I’m Adithya, dancer and wanderer from Bangalore. My life swings between rehearsals, random travels and mad food hunts. One day I’m sweating it out in a studio, next I’m lost in a European city or chilling with a Tibetan Mastiff in Italy. All this – the places, the art, the animals – somehow sneaks into my dance. Keeps things real, keeps me on my toes, literally and otherwise.
My Work
Bharatanatyam Performances, Workshops & Choreography - I do solo and group recitals, run intensive Bharatanatyam workshops, and choreograph dance productions for all kinds of events.
My Artistic Approach - My dance is honest. No drama, just good abhinaya, whether it’s a Kamas varnam or something more experimental.
Teaching Style - Through Punyah Dance Company and workshops, I go deep into details, movement, and building a strong dance base.
The Power of Collaboration - I love working with musicians—vocalists, mridangam, flute—makes every show come alive in its own way.
