About Learn About Pilates
When you start Pilates, the most common mistake is assuming it is just a stretching class. In my sessions here in Ashok Vihar, we prioritize controlled resistance, whether on the mat or the reformer, to target deep core muscles and improve your spinal alignment. It is about learning to engage the right muscles so you can move through your day with less pain and more energy.
How We Approach Pilates
At Zingara Studio, Pilates is a way to align your body structure and support your joints. It is not about how much you sweat, but how well you move. We focus on the principles of precision and control to ensure you are strengthening your body without causing the wear and tear often associated with high-impact workouts.
The Three Ways You Can Practice With Us
- Mat Pilates: This is where we build the foundation. We use your body weight and props like resistance bands or pilates rings to challenge your core. It is excellent for learning the fundamentals of breath and alignment.
- Reformer Pilates: If you want to take your training to the next level, our reformer machines offer spring-loaded resistance. I limit these sessions to four students, so you get dedicated attention on your form. It is highly effective for toning and muscle endurance.
- Private Sessions: For those dealing with specific injuries or looking for advanced goals, I offer one-on-one sessions using the Cadillac and Wunda Chair. We start with a full postural analysis to design a program that works specifically for your anatomy.
Who Is This For?
Pilates is inclusive. Whether you are recovering from an injury, looking to improve your posture after long hours at a desk, or an athlete needing cross-training, my classes are designed to be adapted to your level. You do not need to be flexible to start; you just need to be ready to learn.
