Aerial Hammock Yoga: Build Strength and Flow
Finding your sukoon in the air. Aerial hammock isn't just about the poses; it's about building inner strength, decompressing your spine, and learning to trust yourself.
We start with foundational poses like this supported handstand and floating lotus. The hammock provides stability, allowing you to explore inversions and build confidence while finding your balance in the air.
This video shows a Salto backdrop, a dynamic flip that feels incredible once you master it. We learn these techniques safely, focusing on muscle memory and control so you can play with the fabric and express yourself.
Here is another look at a backflip sequence on the hammock. Each movement flows into the next, building core engagement and upper body strength. It’s a process of learning, practicing, and then letting go.
Aerial is a lifestyle I chose, and it's a journey of trust and consistency. This sequence shows how we can use the hammock to transition between different poses, creating a continuous, flowing dance that strengthens the entire body.
This is a freestyle dance flow, combining spins, climbs, and poses into a personal expression. Once you are comfortable with the basics, I encourage you to find your own rhythm and dance with the fabric.
Here you can see a sequence that includes a full split in the air, supported by the hammock. The fabric helps you deepen your flexibility safely, making challenging poses like this more accessible over time.
Growth is a process, like learning to fly. This sequence demonstrates a controlled inversion and backbend, moves that decompress the spine and build serious core and back strength.
This flow shows how we can move from a ground-based pose like a three-legged dog right into the air. The hammock acts as a partner, helping you lift and transition with grace and power.
What good are wings without the courage to fly? This sequence focuses on inversions and hip openers, using the hammock to create space in the body and challenge your perspective, literally.
About Aerial Hammock: Strength & Flow
Forget everything you've seen on Instagram—we don't start with drops. We start with conditioning. In my sessions, we spend the first chunk of time on grip strength and floor-based core activation so that when you finally do invert, your body knows exactly how to support you. It’s about being safe, not just flashy.
Why Aerial is Different
Aerial fitness is my meditation. When you're suspended in that red fabric, you can't be anywhere else—you have to be present. We focus on two main things here: the Aerial Hammock (that looped fabric you saw in the photos) and Aerial Silks.
If you're wondering if you're 'fit enough' to start, let me stop you right there. You don't need to be an acrobat to join. I've taught women in their 40s who never touched a gym in their lives. We move slowly.
What You Can Expect
Every class is a structured sequence. We don't just jump into flips. We prepare the body:
- Warm-up: We focus on joint health and spinal decompression.
- Conditioning: Grip strength is everything. We build it before we let you hang.
- Flow: Once you feel secure, we move into those dance-like sequences. It feels like flying, but it works your core harder than any crunch ever will.
Safety First
I take safety personally. We limit batches to 4-8 people because I need to be able to spot you physically. If you're looking for a quick fix or an 'insta-ready' workout where the teacher ignores your form, this isn't the place. But if you want to learn how to move with grace, build actual strength, and treat your body with respect, you're in the right spot.
We offer everything from a 'First Flight' drop-in session for you to test your inversion comfort, to a monthly membership that tracks your progress through progressive skill levels. Choose the path that makes sense for you.
