Yoga is more than just movement; it is a way to navigate life's transitions. Explore the Iyengar lineage and personal philosophy that shape my approach to strength, hormonal balance, and aging gracefully.

"She no longer needs cosmetics, as proper blood circulation makes her skin glow." This quote from Geeta Iyengar perfectly captures how yoga supports a woman's beauty and balance from the inside out. That post-yoga glow is real.

"Yoga helps a woman to fulfil her tasks as well as to maintain her complexion, lustre, and femininity." I love how Geeta Iyengar saw yoga as a complete system for a woman's everyday life, not just as exercise.

"It is no exaggeration to say that Yogic practices are ideally designed to help her in all conditions and circumstances of her daily life." This wisdom from Geeta Iyengar is a powerful reminder of how yoga equips us for all of life's challenges.

"Women need Yoga even more than men as the responsibilities thrust upon them by Nature are greater than men's." Geeta Iyengar's words speak to how deeply yoga supports women through caregiving, cyclical changes, and societal expectations.

Influencer vs. Yogi. This humorous take on Hanumanasana (the splits) makes a point: you can try all the biohacks, but yoga has been the original anti-aging practice all along. Longevity comes from breath, consistency, and awareness.

This graphic shows a conversation with an AI about modifying yoga practice with age. The answer is to focus on strength, mobility, and recovery by incorporating weight-bearing poses and prioritizing restorative practices.

How can I maintain muscle mass and bone density as I age? This graphic shares AI-generated advice, which aligns with my teaching: incorporate strength-based yoga poses like Chaturanga and Virabhadrasana, along with resistance training.

About this collection

If you are wondering why I emphasize using props like chairs, belts, and bolsters, it is because they serve as intelligent tools for skeletal alignment. In my classes, we do not 'push through' discomfort; instead, we use these supports to build strength, correct posture, and safely explore your body’s limits, whether you are managing an injury, navigating pregnancy, or dealing with hormonal changes.

A Practice Beyond Asanas

My journey with yoga changed fundamentally when I became a mother. It was no longer just about perfecting a posture or keeping fit; it became a tool for survival, recovery, and self-discovery. This shift led me to the Iyengar lineage, a method that respects the uniqueness of every body. When I teach, I am not just showing you how to move; I am sharing a system that helped me reclaim my health after childbirth and maintain my balance through the hormonal shifts of midlife.

Why Props Are Essential

Many students come to me worried that using chairs or belts means they are 'not doing real yoga.' I see it differently. Props are not shortcuts—they are your friends on the mat. They allow you to stay in poses longer, break down stiffness, and find alignment that your body might not be able to reach on its own. For anyone dealing with back pain from long hours at a desk or the fatigue of early motherhood, these tools offer the support required to practice safely.

Aging with Grace

There is a lot of noise online about anti-aging hacks, but the most consistent results I have seen come from breath, awareness, and long-term consistency. Whether you are dealing with perimenopause or simply trying to maintain muscle mass and bone density, my sessions focus on specific, strength-based sequences. We work with weight-bearing poses to keep you strong and restorative practices to keep your nervous system calm.

The Philosophy of Being

My dharma as a teacher is to be authentic. When you join my sessions, you are not here to copy me. You are here to learn how to inhabit your own body. I design my classes—whether it is for PCOS management, prenatal support, or general therapeutic recovery—to meet you exactly where you are today.
