About Breathwork (Pranayama) & Meditation
Most people think meditation means clearing your mind completely, but that is a myth that keeps us from starting. In my sessions, we focus on grounding techniques like Anulom Vilom and sound baths to help you navigate stress, not escape it. It is about balancing your nervous system, so you can feel less reactive in your daily life.
Breathwork, or Pranayama, is more than just breathing exercises. It is a biological tool to regulate your parasympathetic nervous system. When you practice Anulom Vilom, we are balancing the brain's hemispheres; when we do Bhramari, we are using vibration to calm a racing mind. My classes in Bengaluru are designed for real-world application, not just for the mat.
My Approach to Meditation
- Science-Backed Techniques: We start with the physiology—why stress affects your breath—and then move into the practice. This makes meditation feel less like a chore and more like a necessary reset.
- Sound Healing: In my in-person workshops, I integrate Tibetan singing bowls and flute music. These sound frequencies help release deep-seated physical tension that traditional talk therapy might miss.
- Accessibility: Whether you struggle to sit still, have back pain, or feel sleepy during meditation, we use props and modifications. You do not need to be a monk to meditate; you just need to be human.
Where We Practice
I offer both online interactive sessions for those at home and in-person workshops across Bengaluru, including studios in Koramangala and Indiranagar. For corporate teams, I facilitate desk-friendly breathwork sessions to boost focus during the workday.
If you are tired of feeling 'on' all the time, join one of our safe circles. We don't strive for perfection here. We practice to return to a state of Santosh (contentment).
