Master complex inversions and deep backbends with safe, hands-on alignment. Whether you are aiming for your first Crow pose or refining a forearm stand, we move step-by-step.

The journey to an advanced pose like Pincha Mayurasana (Forearm Stand) is one of patience and consistent practice. Here at home, I demonstrate the balance and core control required for this inversion. It strengthens the shoulders and back while teaching the mind to stay calm and focused under pressure.

This video is a personal milestone, recreating the Vrischikasana (Scorpion Pose) in a forearm stand six years after the original photo was taken. It’s a reminder that yoga is a lifelong journey of growth and rediscovery. Progress is not always linear, but dedication brings you back to your strength.

The yoga wheel is an excellent prop for safely exploring deep backbends and inversions. Here, I am assisting a student as she uses the wheel for support in an advanced inversion, helping her to open her spine and build confidence while being fully supported.

Dhanurasana, or Bow Pose, is a powerful heart-opening backbend. To help a student go deeper into the pose safely, I provide support by gently lifting her legs and chest, allowing for a greater stretch across the front of the body and strengthening the back muscles.

Flexibility is a journey, not a destination. With this highly dedicated student, we work on extreme backbends and flexibility postures. My role is to provide the precise adjustments needed to help her explore her body's limits safely and mindfully, ensuring every movement is supported.

The path to peace is found through practice. Here, I am guiding a student through a sequence of deep stretches, including a split with a backbend (Hanumanasana variation). This kind of assisted stretching helps release deep-seated tension and improve flexibility far beyond what one could do alone.

Bakasana, or Crow Pose, is often the first arm balance yogis learn, and it's a gateway to many others. It's a testament to how strength, balance, and focus can come together. I teach the foundational techniques that make this seemingly difficult pose achievable.

About Advanced Asanas & Strength Training

Advanced asanas are not about how flexible you are, but how well you understand your own alignment. I use props like yoga wheels and rope walls to safely bridge the gap between where your body is now and where you want to be. You do not need to be a gymnast to practice these flows; you just need the willingness to show up and work with patience.
