Hybrid Strength and Yoga Training in Mumbai
I don't believe in pushing until you break. Here is my approach to building strength, flexibility, and mobility through a blend of mindful yoga and functional movement.
This video captures the essence of my hybrid training philosophy. I'm working with two clients who play tennis and want to improve their agility and power. We start with a yoga warm-up, move to treadmill drills for hip mobility, and finish with a full-body CrossFit style workout to build strength and flexibility.
Mastering a handstand is more than just a physical feat. It builds incredible upper body and core strength, improves balance, and boosts confidence. This is a great example of what we can achieve by focusing on discipline, control, and consistent practice.
Fitness is for every age. Here, I'm guiding a client in his 60s through a gentle mobility session at home. We're using props like a strap and the wall to safely open up his shoulders, spine, and hips, proving that consistent, mindful movement is key to staying active and pain free.
Strength is a fundamental part of overall fitness. This is me performing a heavy deadlift, focusing on proper form and control. I believe in building a strong foundation to support all other movements, whether in yoga or daily life, without ego lifting.
It's inspiring to see a client in her 60s achieve a full split using props for support. This shows that with the right guidance and a focus on both strength and flexibility, you can achieve incredible mobility goals at any stage of life.
Fitness can be playful and collaborative. This Acro Yoga pose is a fun way to build core strength, balance, and trust with a partner. It’s a perfect example of how working out can be creative and engaging, whether at home or in a studio.
My approach goes beyond the physical. Here, I'm explaining the fundamentals of yogic breathing, or Pranayama. Learning techniques like diaphragmatic and intercostal breathing is essential for managing stress, improving focus, and connecting the mind and body.
Client feedback is the best measure of success. In this video, my client Marzia shares her experience after a session focused on backward bending to relieve shoulder and lower back tension. Her feeling of lightness and relief is exactly what I aim for in our practice.
About Featured
When I train clients, we do not just chase PRs. I use a hybrid protocol that stitches together CrossFit drills, calisthenics, and Iyengar-style alignment. Whether we are in the gym using barbells or at your home with blocks and straps, my goal is the same: to build strength that does not sacrifice your range of motion.
I spent years pushing my body until I crashed. That injury taught me more than any certification ever could. Now, my training is not about how much you can lift today, but how well your body moves tomorrow.
The Hybrid Methodology
My sessions bridge the gap between high-intensity training and mindful recovery. If we are doing strength work, I insist on dynamic warm-ups inspired by yoga to ensure joints are open before we load the spine. If we are in a yoga flow, I bring in core-stability exercises from functional fitness to ensure you are not just flexible, but also strong.
Who this is for
- Athletes: I work with sports enthusiasts who need more than just static stretching. We focus on lateral hip mobility, agility, and explosive power.
- Senior Wellness: I do not believe age is a barrier. With proper prop usage—chairs, ropes, and bolsters—I help clients in their 60s manage conditions like Spondylosis or Gout while staying mobile.
- Desk Warriors: If your back hurts from sitting, we focus on thoracic extension and postural correction.
Real Progress
I do not offer generic plans. We track actual metrics—flexibility depth, strength reps, and pain management. Whether you are in Mumbai, at a partner gym, or your own home, we work at your pace. Chale to kat hi jayega safar aahista aahista (the journey will eventually be completed, slowly and steadily).
