Mindful Breathwork and Meditation Sessions in Mumbai
Yoga is not just about asanas. Through traditional Pranayama and mindful meditation, we work on reducing stress and building a stronger mind-body connection that fits your life.
Kirtan, the practice of devotional singing, is a form of yoga. Here I am playing the guitar and singing, a practice that is just as valid for connecting mind and spirit as asanas or pranayama.
Singing and playing music in devotion is a powerful yoga practice. It helps to quiet the mind and open the heart, bringing a sense of peace and connection.
In this video, I continue the lesson on yogic breathing. I explain intercostal breathing and demonstrate how simple arm movements can help expand the rib cage and improve lung capacity, which is essential for deeper meditation.
About Mindful Practice: Breathwork & Meditation
I do not teach you to just sit and close your eyes. My breathwork sessions focus on functional mechanics, like intercostal expansion, to physically improve your lung capacity—a necessary fix if you spend long hours at a desk. We treat breathing as a technique to manage stress and posture, not just a passive activity.
In my 12 years of practice, I have learned that the mind is a reflection of the body. If your body is stiff or your breathing is shallow, your mind will struggle to settle. This is why I integrate Pranayama (breath control) and meditation into our sessions. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, chronic stiffness, or just looking to disconnect from the daily grind, we work on a routine that makes sense for you.
My approach includes using Kirtan and music—devotional singing—as a tool to quiet the mind. It is a valid form of yoga that helps open the heart and shift your mental state. We do not rush. Chale to kat hi jayega safar aahista aahista (the journey will eventually be completed, slowly and steadily). Whether we are at your home in Mumbai or working via a live online session, we focus on consistency. We adapt the practice to your needs, incorporating props like blocks or chairs if you have mobility issues, ensuring your meditation and breathwork practice is supportive rather than another source of stress.

I’m Samarth. After pushing my own body too hard and ending up with an injury that stopped my training for six months, I completely changed my philosophy. I don’t believe in forcing results; I focus on listening to what your body and mind actually need, whether we are breathing, meditating, or moving.
