Playful Prop-Based Yoga Classes in Shalimar Bagh
Yoga doesn't have to be about silence and stillness. Sometimes, the best way to open your body is by getting playful. From wheels to dumbbells, join our yoga gang and feel the difference.
New day, new prop! The fitness ball takes over, challenging our core, posture, and stability in fresh ways. Come roll with us and feel the difference.
Welcome to "Liftasana," where weights meet yoga. We incorporate dumbbells into our flow to build strength and tone muscles, proving that serenity and power can coexist.
A deep backbend stretch using the yoga wheel. This prop is amazing for safely opening the chest and shoulders, helping you go deeper into the posture while feeling fully supported.
Using a yoga stick to guide our movements in asanas like Trikonasana (Triangle Pose) and Krounchasana (Heron Pose). This simple tool helps improve alignment, balance, and stability.
Keep rollin' with the yoga wheel. This versatile prop helps increase flexibility, balance, and strength, and it's a fantastic aid for safely practicing inversions and challenging poses.
Here we are using a pilates bar to enhance Viparita Salabhasana (Superman Pose). This adds resistance to help strengthen the back, glutes, and shoulders.
The moment I say "hold for 8 seconds" and everyone knows it might be a little longer. Using the yoga wheel adds an extra challenge to our plank holds, building incredible core strength.
A full house with full hearts for our yoga wheel class. The studio was buzzing with powerful energy as we used the wheels to deepen our practice and support each other.
This is our "nopain, no gain" moment during a killer abs and lower back strengthening session. We use dumbbells to add intensity to poses like Shalabhasana (Locust Pose).
Embodying strength and grace in Vyagrasana (Tiger Pose) with the help of a yoga strap. The strap allows for a deeper stretch in the quadriceps and shoulders while maintaining balance.
About Playful Practice: Yoga with Props
You might think yoga is just about a mat, but here, we mix tradition with tools to help you find your limit safely. Whether you are using the yoga wheel to open up tight shoulders or grabbing dumbbells for a little 'Liftasana' strength, these props act like a guide. They give you the support to hold poses longer and the resistance to build real tone without feeling like you are fighting your own body.
Why we use props in our Shalimar Bagh studio is simple: they bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be. Beginners often struggle with alignment in poses like Trikonasana, but a wooden stick gives you that extra balance to find the perfect stretch. If you feel like your practice has hit a plateau, introducing the yoga wheel or a Pilates bar adds that playful challenge to your daily routine.
Our classes are not just about bending; they are about functional strength. We treat yoga as a holistic path. By using stability balls for core engagement or lightweight dumbbells to add resistance, we turn your mat time into a full-body reset. It is effective, yes, but more importantly, it makes the practice feel like 'mauja hi mauja' (pure joy) instead of a chore.
Whether you are recovering from a long day at the office or looking to deepen your flexibility, these tools are here for you. We provide everything you need—mats, wheels, weights—so you just have to show up. Join us to experience how these small, simple aids can completely transform your alignment and help you find that inner shanti.
