About Aqua Yoga & Floating Meditation

You don't need to be a swimmer to join us. We use buoyancy aids like neck pillows and noodles to keep you supported, whether we’re doing standing resistance movements or transitioning into a guided floating Savasana. It’s about letting the water take the weight, so you can focus entirely on releasing tension in your joints without any strain.

Why Aqua Yoga Works

When we take our practice into the water, we change the rules of gravity. The water provides natural resistance, which makes every movement more effective for toning, but the buoyancy also acts as a safety net for your joints. If you’ve been dealing with chronic pain or stiffness, this is often the most accessible way to start moving again.

The Session Flow

Our typical session is a mix of two worlds:

  • Active Flow: We start with 45 to 60 minutes of standing resistance movements. Think of this as a low-impact workout that builds core strength because you are constantly stabilizing yourself against the water.
  • Floating Savasana: This is where the magic happens. We use inflatable neck pillows and knee supports to let you drift in a horizontal, meditative state. With the gentle guidance of singing bowls playing at the poolside, it’s a form of deep rest that many of our members find impossible to achieve on a standard mat.
