About Strength & Powerlifting
If you are used to bouncing the bar off your chest or rushing your reps, we need to talk. Here at XLR8, my focus is on biomechanics, ensuring every deadlift, squat, and bench press has a full range of motion. We use specific tempos to build control, not just momentum. If you want to stop ego-lifting and start building real, injury-free strength, this is where you start.
Why Form Comes First
Many people think powerlifting is just about piling as much weight as possible onto the barbell. That is how injuries happen. My approach is different. When you train with me, the first few sessions are almost entirely about relearning how to move. Whether it is a standard bench press or a heavy squat, I ensure your form is tight before we even talk about hitting a personal best. We eliminate the 'jugaad' (shortcuts) that lead to long-term frustration.
The Training Environment
I utilize raw, functional equipment here—tractor tires, log bars, and heavy sleds—because they demand a level of stability and coordination that standard gym machines simply cannot offer. We pair this with dedicated spotting. If you have ever felt scared to go heavier because you did not have a spotter you could trust, that changes here. I am right there with you during your sets, ensuring you hit your depth and complete every rep safely.
Your Progress Plan
My training programs are designed for progress, not just exhaustion. We track your compound lifts closely, adjust your technique in real-time, and build a base that lasts. You will not find copy-paste workouts here. Your plan is tailored to your current strength level, whether you are a beginner looking to pick up a barbell for the first time or an athlete trying to break a plateau. If you are serious about getting strong without the gym-bro gimmicks, let us get to work.
