This client is performing BOSU ball squats followed by wall sits. This combination builds leg endurance and stability without using heavy weights.

A wall-assisted handstand is a great way to build shoulder strength and core stability. It's an advanced bodyweight move we work towards safely.

A push-up challenge in one of our group sessions. I'm supervising to ensure everyone maintains correct form to get the most out of this classic bodyweight exercise.

Flexibility is key to preventing injuries. This client is performing the bow pose, a yoga asana that improves posture and stretches the entire front of the body.

Adding dumbbells to a squat on a balance board increases the challenge significantly. This exercise builds core strength, balance, and leg power.

This is a variation of a plank walk, an excellent exercise for building core stability and shoulder strength.

Most people treat bodyweight training as an easy warmup, but that is exactly where they get it wrong. At XLR8, if your plank is sagging or your squat depth is off, we fix that first. I focus on muscle contraction over high rep counts. You will learn to master your own weight on the BOSU ball or parallettes, ensuring every movement is stable and controlled. It is about building a body that works for you, not just looking the part in the mirror.

In this cluster, we strip away the equipment to focus on the basics of functional fitness. You cannot build strength on a shaky foundation. Whether you are a beginner struggling to hold a solid plank or someone working toward their first handstand, the principles remain the same: technique first, results second.

The Sahi Tarika Approach

My philosophy is simple. We focus on the 'sahi tarika' (correct method) to ensure you are engaging the right muscles. If you are doing a push-up but not hitting the full range of motion, you are not building strength, you are just practicing a bad habit. My sessions include:

  • Core Stability: Moving beyond crunches to build a rigid, powerful core using floor work and stability drills.
  • Mobility & Flexibility: Essential post-workout stretches to help you recover and move better in your daily life, not just in the gym.
  • Bodyweight Progressions: We use parallettes and BOSU balls to make simple exercises harder, forcing your stabilizer muscles to fire.
