About Ground & Grapple: Judo & BJJ
Most people think fighting ends when you hit the mat, but for us, that is where the real work begins. We train on puzzle mats in a raw environment where you will learn to transition from a judo throw to a fight-ending submission without hesitation, focusing on 'Ek tap, ek escape' drills to keep you moving.
Ground fighting is about leverage, not just raw muscle. At Xtrem9, our grappling program breaks down the complexity of the ground game into three pillars: takedowns, control, and submission. Whether you are learning your first judo trip or refining your BJJ guard, we emphasize technique over strength.
Our classes are designed for all levels. Beginners start with break-falls and basic body awareness to keep everyone safe during practice. As you progress, we introduce wrestling takedowns and BJJ ground control, teaching you how to dictate the pace of the fight. We focus on No-Gi grappling, which translates directly into real-world self-defense and MMA scenarios.
Training happens in a high-intensity, non-AC industrial environment that builds mental grit. We don't believe in ego. You will train with a community that supports your growth, whether you are preparing for cage sparring or just looking to get fit. Come join the X9 family on the mats in Mira Road or Ghatkopar and find your flow.
