Control the fight on the mat. From judo throws to BJJ submissions, we teach you how to dominate the ground game at our Mira Road and Ghatkopar studios.

The fight isn't always on your feet. We drill the art of the takedown with Judo, teaching leverage and technique to control any opponent on the mat. This is a core part of our MMA grappling curriculum.

A journey of strength, discipline, and respect. Our judo class lines up, bows, and then gets to work on throws, trips, and ground control.

From takedown to submission. This sequence shows a fighter executing a takedown and immediately transitioning to a dominant ground position, a key skill in MMA.

"Ek tap, ek escape!" This fast-paced grappling drill teaches students to quickly escape bad positions and regain control on the ground. Movement is life on the mat.

Let's roll. Students practice their ground game with forward and backward rolls, a fundamental movement for jiu-jitsu and wrestling that builds agility and body awareness.

About Ground & Grapple: Judo & BJJ

Most people think fighting ends when you hit the mat, but for us, that is where the real work begins. We train on puzzle mats in a raw environment where you will learn to transition from a judo throw to a fight-ending submission without hesitation, focusing on 'Ek tap, ek escape' drills to keep you moving.

Ground fighting is about leverage, not just raw muscle. At Xtrem9, our grappling program breaks down the complexity of the ground game into three pillars: takedowns, control, and submission. Whether you are learning your first judo trip or refining your BJJ guard, we emphasize technique over strength.

Our classes are designed for all levels. Beginners start with break-falls and basic body awareness to keep everyone safe during practice. As you progress, we introduce wrestling takedowns and BJJ ground control, teaching you how to dictate the pace of the fight. We focus on No-Gi grappling, which translates directly into real-world self-defense and MMA scenarios.

Training happens in a high-intensity, non-AC industrial environment that builds mental grit. We don't believe in ego. You will train with a community that supports your growth, whether you are preparing for cage sparring or just looking to get fit. Come join the X9 family on the mats in Mira Road or Ghatkopar and find your flow.
