A striking photo from the "Whose vessel is it?" project, highlighting the hands that work with clay.
A poster for the "Whose vessel is it?" exhibition. We love seeing our students use their art to tell important stories.
About this collection
We keep the studio doors open for folks who want more than just a class. Whether we are prepping for an exhibition or just getting messy with fresh clay, you will find the vibe here is always about the process rather than perfect results.
Most pottery studios are silent zones, but here in Jayanagar, we prefer a bit of noise. Our studio is a shared space where students become regulars, and regulars eventually turn into our unofficial Diamond Dogs crew. We believe that clay has a mood, and so do the people working with it, which is why our daily life involves just as much laughing as it does centering. You might spot us prepping for our annual GLAZED exhibition or supporting a student’s passion project like 'Whose vessel is it?' which explored social issues through ceramics. We share the same space for production work, teaching, and hanging out. If you are looking for a sterile classroom environment, you might be surprised by the mess, but that is where the magic happens 🤌🏼. We value the time spent failing on the wheel as much as the pieces that actually make it to the kiln. Our studio calendar is always packed, and we welcome everyone from absolute beginners who have never touched clay to seasoned makers looking for shelf space. Come by to get your hands dirty and join the local pottery scene.
Trayah Pottery
We are Trayah Pottery, a bunch of clay enthusiasts in 'Luru who turned a studio into a community hangout. We teach, make, and hang out, helping you get comfortable with the mess that comes with creating something from scratch.
