About Handmade Ceramics & Pottery Supplies
We’re proper obsessed with making pots, and it shows in everything that comes out of our ‘Luru studio. Each piece is handmade—sometimes by us, sometimes by our students—and every single one has its own personality. Nothing’s ever exactly the same, and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.
What You’ll Find
- Morning chai or coffee? We’ve got wheel-thrown pottery mugs in all shapes, plus our infamous kangaroo mugs (they’ve got a pocket for your tea bag, no kidding).
- Our body-positive “boob and vulva mugs” always get people talking.
- Sgraffito designs, temple patterns, loads of floral stuff—sometimes we just go wild with the decoration.
For Your Space (and Plants)
- Unique ceramic planters, sculptural vases, wall planters, and even tiny Ikebana pods—there’s something for every plant parent.
- Studio-crafted tableware like bowls and plates. We experiment with wave carvings and the Japanese Nerikomi technique.
- Quirky decor pops up randomly, like ghosty tea-light holders or a wall of 166 different tiles.
For Fellow Clay Nerds
- Our own small batch pottery glazes—Trana. Cone 6 stoneware, inspired by Bangalore’s monsoon. Rich earthy colours, unpredictable sometimes but always interesting. “Midnight Blue” is a hit, and we’ve got a bunch of matte finishes too.
How We Make It
- Wheel-throwing for classic shapes.
- Hand-building for the weird stuff using coils, slabs, pinching.
- We decorate with Mishima, Sgraffito, leaves, flowers—whatever feels right.
Some days the studio’s pure chaos, but that’s how the magic happens. If you’re into pottery, you’ll get the vibe.
