I bring the flavours of my childhood—from traditional Syrian Christian roasts to coastal Kerala classics—straight to your kitchen table.

This is what my food is all about: soft, lacey Appams made from scratch, perfect for soaking up a fragrant and creamy stew. It’s a classic pairing that brings back memories of home for so many, and it’s a joy for me to make it for you.

Food for me is tied to my happiest memories, and I started Travancore Tasties to share that feeling with you. Here I am, serving up a bread pudding, a dish that reminds me of my childhood and the big family feasts my Amma used to cook.

I love making traditional dishes easy to enjoy at parties. This is my Beef Ullarthu, slow roasted with coconut chips and curry leaves until it's incredibly tender, served on a bite-sized mini parotta. It’s a true taste of Kerala in one perfect bite.

There is nothing like the energy of a community feast. This was from a spectacular Onam Sadhya I catered, where over 200 people came together to enjoy a traditional meal served on banana leaves. I can bring this experience to your large-scale events too.

While my heart is in Kerala cuisine, I also love making the Continental comfort food I grew up with. A warm, hearty Shepherd's Pie, with rich minced meat and a creamy potato topping, is perfect for a cozy dinner gathering.

In this video, I share a little about my story and how my family, especially my Amma, shaped my cooking. My menu is a mix of the Syrian Christian dishes and Continental food we grew up eating, all made with my own touch.

My secret tender coconut pudding is always a hit. It's light, refreshing, and just the right amount of sweet, making it the perfect dessert to cool down with, especially during the summer.

I love creating memorable private dining experiences in people's homes. I can help you set up a beautiful table like this, filled with a variety of dishes, so you can relax and enjoy the meal with your guests while my team and I handle all the details.

About Featured

When I cater your event, I want you to be a guest at your own party. I bring everything needed—from ceramic crockery and clay pots to uniformed waitstaff—so you don't have to worry about the logistics. Whether it is an intimate dinner for three or a gathering for two hundred, my team handles the setup and the final cleanup, leaving your kitchen exactly as we found it.

My cooking journey didn't start in a culinary school; it began in my mother's kitchen. I learned to make the food I grew up eating—Mallu Syrian Christian recipes that have been passed down through generations. When I started Travancore Tasties, my goal was to share that nostalgia on a plate.

My Approach to Catering

I source my spices directly from Wayanad, sun-drying and powdering them just the way my Amma taught me. From the batter for my soft, lacey appams to the masalas ground in a mortar and pestle, I do not cut corners. Whether you are hosting a traditional Onam Sadhya with fresh banana leaves or a cocktail hour with beef ullarthu on coin parottas, I tailor the menu to suit your preferences.

What You Can Expect

  • Menu Flexibility: I am happy to chat and plan your menu to ensure it fits your event, whether you want an authentic Kerala spread or some of the Continental comfort food I enjoy cooking.
  • Full Service: For private dinners, I act as your personal chef, finishing dishes on-site to ensure they are served at the right temperature.
  • Diverse Menus: From my signature mutton stew to my tender coconut pudding, I offer a range of dishes that cater to various tastes and dietary needs.

I believe food is about connection. If you are planning an event in Bengaluru, let’s talk about how we can bring these flavours to your table.

I’m Tresa. I didn't learn to cook for a career; I learned because I loved to eat, and I wanted to keep my Amma's recipes alive. I put the same heart into your event that I put into my own family meals, making sure every dish feels like home.
