Khan 1-5 Grading & Certification
Official Documentation
- KMA Certificate: Issued by Kru Muaythai Association, registered under Ministry of Culture, Thailand.
- Signatories: Signed by Grand Master Woody and Kru Madan Gowda.
- Logistics: Physical certificate shipped directly from Bangkok post-grading.
Ceremonial Gear
- Prajioud: Colored armband corresponding to the passed level (White, Yellow, Green, or Blue).
- Ceremony: Traditional acceptance ritual including Wai Kru (paying respects).
Assessment Details
- Duration: 3 to 4 hour rigorous session.
- Technique: Drills on stance, footwork, and basic strikes (punches, elbows, knees, kicks).
- Conditioning: Endurance test involving push-ups, sit-ups, and timed running.
- Forms: Wai Kru Ram Muay demonstration (required for Khan 3 and above).
Venue Amenities
- Facility: Testing at Vidyaranyapura center (Non-AC, boxing ring access).
- Support: Water and electrolytes provided during the session.
Khan 6-10 Advanced Grading
Elite Certification
- Advanced Certificate: High-ranking accreditation for Khan 6-10 with World Muay Boran Federation seal.
- Global Registry: Permanent entry in the KMA international database as a recognized senior student.
Senior Status & Gear
- Advanced Prajioud: Awarding of senior armbands (Brown, Red, or Red-White).
- Ceremonial Rights: Usage of Mongkol (headband) during specific rituals.
- Recognition: Formal acknowledgement as a Senior Student within the gym hierarchy.
Advanced Assessment
- Muay Boran: Testing on ancient boxing forms (Mae Mai / Look Mai).
- Sparring: Mandatory technical rounds to demonstrate control, defense, and ring IQ.
- Teaching Aptitude: Test on ability to explain techniques to junior students.
- Conditioning: High-intensity endurance battery exceeding standard levels.
Post-Grading
- Feedback: One-on-one performance breakdown with the instructor.
- Digital Record: Group photography with the Kru for digital archives.

What This Is
This grading and certification isn’t a casual badge - it’s a real recognition of everything you’ve put into Muay Thai and Muay Boran. When you pass, you get an official certificate signed by the Kru Muaythai Association (KMA) in Bangkok. That’s not just paper, it’s proof of your level and effort, no matter where you go.
How We Do It
- Certification follows strict KMA Muay Thai certification standards
- Your level (Khan) gets assessed on skills, knowledge, and fighting application
- The certificate comes straight from KMA HQ, not printed in-house
- We use the 10-level Khan system, just like they do in Thailand

I’m Kru Madan Gowda, but everyone calls me Anna. I trained under Grand Master Woody in Thailand and I bring that same expectation here. I’m not just testing you for fun; I want you to earn it.

My Story
People call me Coach or Kru, but Anna is what I cherish most. Thunder Martial Arts in Vidyaranyapura feels more like home than a gym. We’re all sweat, heart, and Kannada pride here. Never give up – that’s my mantra. Medals? Yeah, we’ve got plenty, from Rajyotsava Cup to WAKO tournaments.
