Official Muay Thai Khan Level Grading
Don't just train Muay Thai; earn your rank. Our official KMA-accredited grading brings the standards of Thailand to our mat in Bengaluru.
This poster details our International Muay Thai and Muay Boran Grading Ceremony. It shows my credentials under Grand Master Woody and our direct affiliation with the KMA in Thailand.
A proud moment with a student who has just completed his grading. This is the bond we build, fighter to mentor, as you progress through the Khan levels.
A student dressed in the traditional Mongkhon headwear and Pra Jiad armband, ready for his grading. This attire shows respect for the art and its history.
A moment of focus before the grading assessment begins. This is about showing your readiness and demonstrating the warrior spirit required for Muay Thai.
About The Path to Certification: Earning Your Khan Level
This isn’t a weekend workshop or a participation trophy. When you sign up for your Khan level assessment, you are committing to a rigorous 3 to 4-hour session. I test your physical endurance, your technical knowledge of strikes, and your ability to perform the traditional forms. You earn your certificate, which is issued directly by the KMA in Bangkok, only when you truly prove your skill on the mat.
The 10-Level Khan System
We follow the exact 10-level Khan system used in Thailand. Whether you are aiming for your first white Prajioud or working toward advanced levels, the grading process is the same. It is a formal assessment of where you stand.
- Khan 1-5 (Fundamentals): We focus on your conditioning, basic stance, footwork, and your technical execution of punches, elbows, knees, and kicks.
- Khan 6-10 (Advanced): This is for our senior students. You will be tested on sparring application, Muay Boran forms (Mae Mai/Look Mai), and your ability to explain and teach techniques to junior students.
The KMA Certification
When you pass, you don't just get a paper certificate from us. Your accreditation is signed by Grand Master Woody and myself, and it comes directly from the Kru Muaythai Association (KMA) in Bangkok. It is proof of your level that holds weight globally.
What to Expect
Grading is about showing your readiness.
- Ceremony: We include traditional acceptance rituals like the Wai Kru to show respect for the art and its history.
- Attire: You will earn your Prajioud (armband) based on your level. Advanced students will be eligible for the Mongkol headband.
- Feedback: Post-grading, I provide a one-on-one performance breakdown so you know exactly what to work on for your next level.
