Yogic Diet and Ayurvedic Eating Principles
True health isn't just about what you eat; it is about how you align your habits with the seasons. I use ancient Ayurvedic wisdom to help you fix your metabolism and energy, not just track calories.
Ayurveda teaches us to change our diet as the seasons change. This video explains the concept of Ritucharya, showing what to eat and avoid during summer (Grishma Ritu) and early winter (Hemanta Ritu) to keep your doshas in balance.
For years, Ayurveda has warned against incompatible food combinations, like drinking salty tea with milk. Now, even Western experts are catching on. It's time we listen to our own ancient wisdom.
Is jaggery (gudh) really better than sugar? While it has some minerals, your body processes both as sugar. The key isn't swapping one for the other, but practicing moderation and mindfulness in your diet.
Don't regret your habits in old age. This video outlines an ideal daily routine (Dinacharya) based on yogic principles, from waking up in Brahma Muhurta to eating your last meal before sunset.
About Yogic Diet & Ayurveda
Most people get confused between 'eating healthy' and 'eating for their doshas.' The biggest shift happens when you align your diet with Ritucharya (seasonal living). For example, in the current season, your Agni (digestive fire) might be weaker, meaning heavy, complex foods will only drain your energy rather than fuel it. Before you overhaul your pantry, understand that Ayurveda isn't about restriction; it is about timing and combinations. If you want to know which foods are actually working against your specific body type or current health goals, let's talk.
Food is Medicine, But Only If You Eat It Right
I see so many people obsessing over superfoods while ignoring the basics of Ahara (diet). You can drink all the green juice you want, but if you are drinking it with incompatible food combinations or eating at the wrong time, you are just creating Ama (toxins) in your system.
The Power of Dinacharya
Your daily routine is the foundation of your health. When I teach my students, I don't just give a diet chart; we look at your Dinacharya. When you wake up, when you eat your last meal, and how you transition from work to rest matters more than the specific calories on your plate. Following the Brahma Muhurta (early morning hours) for practice and eating your final meal before sunset isn't just tradition; it is biology. It gives your system the space to heal and repair.
Breaking Myths: Sugar vs. Jaggery
People constantly ask me if swapping sugar for jaggery makes them healthy. Listen, your body processes both as glucose. Thinking you can eat unlimited amounts of 'healthy' sweets is a trap. The goal is to reduce dependency on both. If you are serious about managing stress or weight, you have to be honest about your habits. We don't do fad diets here. We look at your body type, your current pain points—like bloating or acidity—and we fix them with simple, sustainable adjustments.
Ready to Align?
Whether you are dealing with PCOD, acidity, or just constant fatigue, your diet is likely the missing link. I don't give generic advice. We work on your specific Prakriti (constitution) to ensure your diet supports your practice, not suppresses it. If you are tired of the confusion and want a plan that actually respects your body, reach out.
