Yoga Teacher Training & Mentorship
Certification is just a piece of paper if you cannot guide a student's breath. My training is about living the practice and mastering the art of observation through real-world internships.
Theory becomes practice. Here, an intern from my Yoga Teacher Training Course (YTTC) guides a student, applying her knowledge in a real-world setting. This hands-on experience is crucial for building a confident teacher.
A glimpse into our YTTC internship. One intern is studying the anatomical charts and sequences, while another provides hands-on assistance to a student. This is where learning deepens into lived experience.
It's not just about what to do, but also what not to do. In this clip, I explain a common mistake in Paschimottanasana (Seated Forward Bend): the goal is to lengthen the spine forward, not just curve down to touch the feet.
About The Teacher's Path: Training & Mentorship
You won't just study manuals here. In this training, you'll be on the floor observing real classes and performing hands-on adjustments under my supervision. This is where you learn that teaching isn't about perfect poses, but about understanding a student's alignment and energy. If you hunch, the flow of energy gets stuck, and learning how to correct that with specific props or verbal cues is the difference between a certified trainer and a real teacher.
My Yoga Teacher Training Course (YTTC) is rooted in the traditional Guru-Shishya Parampara. This means our relationship goes beyond student and instructor. It is a mentorship.
Why This Training Is Different
Most certifications focus on completing the sequence. We focus on the anatomy of the movement and the integrity of the spine.
- The Internship: You will not graduate without teaching. Every trainee participates in a one-month internship where you assist in live classes. You will learn to spot postural errors in real-time—like knowing that in a Seated Forward Bend (Paschimottanasana), the goal is not to touch the floor, but to keep the spine erect while moving forward.
- The 'Don'ts' Matter: I dedicate as much time to what you should not do as what you should. Understanding common mistakes is critical for preventing injury and ensuring safe practice for your future students.
- Small Batches: To maintain the quality of instruction, I keep batches small. This ensures you get my personal attention, not just a generic lecture.
What You Will Master
We go deep into:
- Pranayama & Breathwork: Forward bend karoge toh exhale karoge, peeche jaoge toh inhale karoge. You will learn how to sync breath with movement, every single time.
- Anatomy & Alignment: Using wall ropes, wooden blocks, and bolsters to support different body types. You will learn how to adapt the practice, not force the body into a pose.
- Teaching Methodology: How to hold space, correct postures with safe touch, and guide a class with confidence.
This is not a shortcut. It is a path to understanding your own strength so you can help others find theirs. Unleash. Align. Unite.
