We approach every conceptual project as a piece of deep research. These unbuilt narratives allow us to test the limits of materiality and form before we ever break ground.

An alternative design approach for the Nagpur Museum, seen from above. The building is conceived as a spatial journey, with a stepped bamboo skin creating a public court that culminates in a central void.

An aerial perspective of our Nagpur Museum concept. The structure is designed to be elemental, using brick, black stone, and bamboo to frame experiences of silence, movement, and memory.

This video presents a fly-through of our conceptual design for the Nagpur Museum, showcasing its geometric complexity, material richness, and the layered spatial experience from the entrance void to the circular spine.

Our design process often starts with a philosophical question. For the Nagpur Museum, we asked: "Can architecture be both rooted in place, and open to interpretation?"

The first narrative we explored for the Nagpur Museum project. This version features a strong, walled outer geometry with a central courtyard for `sabhas` and a stepped terrace for public access.

"Can a building carry the weight of a city's spirit?" This was the guiding question for our initial concept for the Nagpur Museum, which aimed to create a public plaza within a private commission.

A rendering of the central courtyard in our first Nagpur Museum concept. This space, with its sunken garden and seating, was envisioned as a hub for community events and gatherings.

The stepped terraces in our Nagpur Museum concept are designed to be active social spaces, inviting people to climb, sit, and interact with the building.

About The Unbuilt Narrative: Visionary Concepts & Masterplans

Architecture for us is as much about the unbuilt as it is about the built. We treat every competition and masterplan not as a theoretical exercise, but as essential research. When we draft a museum or a wellness retreat, we rigorously test the limits of our materials, exploring how bamboo can evoke a public court or how steel can hide within a natural hillside before we begin construction on any site.

Every unbuilt narrative in our studio serves as a foundational study for our practice. Take our conceptual proposal for the Nagpur Museum. We moved beyond standard gallery requirements to imagine the building as an extension of the street, acting as a public plaza wrapped in private walls. We employed a stepped bamboo skin that mirrors traditional Indian ghats, transforming the museum into a social vessel rather than a static display case. This project allowed us to refine our understanding of how volume and void define public space.

Similarly, our Atlanta Wellness Home project was a study in topography. By analyzing the site’s natural contours and using existing trees as stencils, we designed a structure that nearly disappears into the landscape. Here, we experimented with stepped-well geometries to dictate how light and movement traverse the interior. These concepts are not mere sketches. They are living testaments to our belief that a building should breathe. They teach us how to manipulate light, how to marry steel with brick, and how to create architecture that is deeply rooted yet universally accessible. We view these explorations as our design laboratory, refining the vocabulary we bring to your built projects.

We are a tribe of designers who believe architecture is a cultural catalyst, not just construction. We design to provoke thought, working with the land to create spaces that are porous, non-linear, and deeply rooted in our Indian identity.
