About Interior Design
My Take on Spaces
Interior design isn’t just about making things look pretty for me - it’s about weaving together stories, culture, and memory. Every project is a chance to create something rooted and layered, not just another picture-perfect room.
How I Build the Story
- Every space starts with its own context - I like to dig into the site’s background, whether it’s the geography, local history, or lived traditions. A house in Atlanta might pull from Indian Stepwells, while a Bengaluru restaurant could be all about Jaipur vibes.
- I work with a mix of diagrams and hands-on model making. Actually seeing and feeling the space before it’s built makes a real difference.
- Local artisan collaboration is a big part of what I do. Bringing in the skills and crafts from the area, I try to blend them into a modern story. Old school meets new school.
What I Design
- Homes with material-rich interiors - big windows, dramatic staircases, lots of natural light, always trying to keep things connected to nature.
- Hospitality spots that feel immersive, where materials and lighting build the mood. I’m into custom furniture, curated lights, and spaces that just feel different.
- Offices and retail that balance brand identity with local flavor. Think Old Bangalore warmth in a fresh workspace.
- Institutions built for community - open terraces, amphitheater seating, and corridors that let people meet and mingle.
Materials I Love
I’m all for exposed brick, raw concrete, rammed earth, lime plaster, natural woods, and traditional red oxide. Spaces should age with you, not against you.
The Studio Spirit
We’re a bunch of designers, not just one. Non-linear thinkers, working bold but always keeping things deeply Indian. Every project is a new journey, and honestly, sometimes it’s messy - but that’s what keeps it real.

My Story
We started The Purple Ink Studio over 13 years ago, honestly, just a bunch of us wanting to make something together. We’re more a tribe than a company. India’s changing, and we try to keep up—rooted, but curious. Our Winged Tiger Sessions? That’s us, chatting with quiet creators shaping this place. Architecture for us is just life, memory, and a bit of guts—always weaving our stories into something bigger.
My Work
What We Do - We design architecture, landscapes, and interiors for campuses, homes, and cultural spaces, always with a community-centered touch.
Our Way of Thinking - We see architecture as a cultural spark. Every project is about memory, place, and spaces that give back.
Material Love - We play with concrete, stone, brick, and revive local crafts—think red oxide flooring revival and bamboo, from smooth to rugged.
How We Design - Porous architecture design, shifting volumes, inward-looking buildings—spaces that breathe and blend with their land.
Who We Click With - Best with folks who come with open minds, ready to question, explore, and build something non-linear together.
