About Announcements & Invitations
You might see generic event listings elsewhere, but here, our invitations are for Baithaks—intimate, floor-level performances where you hear the real, unamplified beauty of Hindustani classical ragas. Whether it is our annual Swarveni Utsav or a local student recital in Rohini, these are rare opportunities to sit close to the artist and witness the bhaav (emotion) in every note.
At Swarveni Music Academy, we do not view performances as mere shows. For us, a Baithak is an extension of our daily riyaz (practice). We invite you to attend our events to witness the discipline and dedication that our students, from young children to adults, put into their training.
Our Signature Events
- Swarveni Utsav: This is our annual celebration of Hindustani music. It is a day where we open our doors to the community to share the compositions our students have been working on throughout the year.
- Monthly Baithaks: We hold intimate sessions at our Rohini center. Unlike large concert halls, these allow you to sit on the floor, observe the nuances of the artist's technique, and feel the vibration of the tanpura. It is the best way to understand the atmosphere of the Guru-Shishya parampara.
- Swarveni Aradhana: These are special devotional evenings where we focus on bhajans and spiritual compositions, often hosted at local venues like the Ayyappa Temple in Rohini.
Expansion and Community
We are constantly growing. We recently established a new branch in Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, to take this traditional education to a wider community. If you are near Mainpuri or Rohini, we invite you to visit our center, meet our faculty, and perhaps sit in on a session.
Our doors are open to those who truly wish to learn, not just to those looking for a quick hobby. When you receive an invitation from us, consider it an invitation to understand the depth of our musical heritage.
Swarveni Gurukul
I am Pt. Ashish Narayan Tripathi. For me, music is a sadhana, not just a performance. Through our baithaks and utsavas, I welcome you to witness the devotion we pour into our riyaz and the heritage we pass on to our students.
