Music finds its true expression on stage. We provide our students with regular opportunities to perform in baithaks and concerts, building the confidence needed to master their craft.

About From Practice to Performance

Getting on stage is a natural part of our curriculum, not an occasional special event. We organize regular baithaks and concerts in Delhi NCR specifically to remove performance anxiety. Whether you are playing a complex Teentaal on the tabla or singing a shabad, the focus is always on maintaining the purity of the Raag while holding your own before an audience.

Performance is the final test of discipline. In the classroom, riyaz (practice) is intense, but the stage requires a different kind of focus. Our baithaks—traditional floor-seating gatherings—are designed to mimic the intimate setting where Indian classical music has been passed down for generations. This environment allows students to feel the connection with the audience, making them comfortable with the subtle nuances of performance.

We organize these events to bridge the gap between learning basics like Sargam and performing complex bandish or taan. For our Kirtan students, this means learning how to hold a shabad with devotion, ensuring the melody remains grounded in its traditional Raag. Our tabla students gain experience by accompanying vocalists, understanding the interplay between rhythm (Taal) and melody.

We do not focus on flashy displays. Instead, we encourage a calm, respectful stage presence. Whether it is a local Gurpurab event or an academy-hosted classical concert, the goal remains the same: to show that you have internalized the teaching. We handle the arrangements, the sound, and the accompaniment, so you only need to focus on your instrument or voice.
