My Credentials & Coaching Philosophy
My practice combines professional ICF coaching with the healing traditions of Indian music therapy to hold space for your personal growth.
The idea for Svadhyaya was born from my own life experiences as a mentor, a mother, and a lifelong learner. This video shares my personal origin story and the "why" behind my commitment to creating a space for shared growth and self-study.
This is me, Bhavana, the founder of Svadhyaya. My certification as an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) provides the professional framework for the empathetic, human-centered coaching I offer to adults, parents, and teens.
This certificate for the "Introduction to Indian Music Therapy" course from S-VYASA marks the beginning of my formal training in this healing art. It represents my dedication to blending ancient wisdom with modern coaching practices.
My studies in music therapy continued with this course on "Music Therapy and Yoga for Chakra Balancing." This certification reflects my holistic approach, focusing on the connection between mind, body, and spirit to promote overall well-being.
This advanced certificate in "Music Therapy for Dosha Balancing" shows my deeper dive into using music for constitutional health. This knowledge allows me to tailor my therapeutic approach to an individual's unique energetic makeup, based on Ayurvedic principles.
About My Credentials & Journey
I do not follow a rigid, textbook approach to coaching. My work as an ICF-PCC certified coach is grounded in positive psychology and music therapy, specifically tailored to help you navigate life transitions or parental challenges. Whether you join me for one-on-one sessions or connection circles in Jayanagar, we focus on unlearning what holds you back rather than just fixing symptoms.
My Approach to Coaching
My coaching philosophy is simple: you already have the wisdom you need to find your way. As an ICF-PCC certified coach and an unschooling parent, I bring a unique blend of professional inquiry and lived experience to our sessions. I moved from a career in finance to creating Svadhyaya because I saw a need for spaces where adults and kids could learn without the pressure of perfection.
How We Work Together
I use inquiry-based methods rooted in Positive Psychology and Vedanta principles. We will not look for quick fixes. Instead, we engage in 60-minute sessions—either online or in person at my Jayanagar space—that act as a mirror for your thoughts. I often weave in Indian music therapy, using sound as a tool for emotional regulation and chakra balancing, depending on what your specific journey requires.
What You Can Expect
- Safety & Neutrality: I hold space, I do not give advice. You will find a non-clinical environment where it is safe to be honest and vulnerable.
- Music Therapy Integration: Using my training from S-VYASA, I incorporate dosha balancing and sound healing to support mind-body alignment.
- A Human-First Perspective: We tackle challenges like stress, social media anxiety, or parenting questions by focusing on what is strong, not what is wrong.
I am here to walk beside you, not lead from the front. If you are looking for a coach who values deep dialogue over a standard curriculum, let us start a conversation.
