Deepen Your Practice: Curated Yoga Workshops in Powai
Beyond the daily mat practice, these workshops are invitations to pause, learn, and reconnect. From intense asana immersions to restorative sound healing, find the dedicated space your practice needs.
In a world that rushes, we create spaces where time slows. This is the pose of surrender, Viparita Karani, where stillness becomes strength and renewal begins. It soothes tired legs, calms the nervous system, and allows the body to hum in harmony.
Our asana immersions are a journey into the mechanics of movement. Here, our teacher RCP provides hands on adjustments, guiding students deeper into their practice with safety, awareness, and a shared focus on unlocking new potential.
In the beginning, there was sound. Our Nada Yoga workshops are a homecoming to the self, using the healing vibrations of singing bowls to guide you into deep states of relaxation, stillness, and inner alchemy.
Connection is at the core of our retreats. We gather in circles to share, listen, and grow, creating a sacred space where the practice extends beyond the mat and into the bonds we form with one another.
We believe in nourishing the mind as well as the body. During our Gītā Sār Vichār sessions, Prasad Rangnekar guides an introspective journey, using the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gītā to explore life's deeper questions.
We explore movement in all its forms, including the ancient martial art of Kalaripayattu. These workshops build power, flexibility, and a profound body mind connection, showing how graceful movement can be a source of immense strength.
There is a silent joy in witnessing an entire class rise together. This is Urdhva Dhanurasana, a testament to collective strength, consistent practice, and the power of breathing as one community.
About this collection
We keep these workshops small, rarely exceeding 15 participants, because true learning happens when we can adjust your posture, hear your questions, and share a cup of tea afterwards. Whether you are refining your backbends or seeking stillness in a sound bath, you get personal attention that is difficult to find in larger studio classes. We focus on the nuance of movement, not just the repetition.
Our Approach to Learning
At Svādhyāya, we believe that regular classes are the roots, but workshops are the fruits. These sessions are designed for those moments when you are ready to dig deeper into your own body-mind connection.
Asana Immersions & Masterclasses
If you have been practicing for a while and feel stuck, our multi-day immersions offer a structured path forward. We break down complex biomechanics, helping you understand the architecture of hip openers, inversions, and backbends. These are not about achieving a 'perfect' pose but about learning how to move safely and sustainably. You will often find visiting masters here, bringing global experience to our Powai shala.
Healing and Sound
Movement is only one part of the journey. Our Nada Yoga and sound healing workshops use the vibrational energy of Tibetan singing bowls to guide you into states of rest that deep sleep often fails to provide. We treat these as therapeutic spaces where the only goal is to let go and recalibrate your nervous system.
Philosophy and Introspection
Sometimes, the most challenging asana is sitting with yourself. Through our Gītā Sār Vichār sessions, we bring the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gītā into the modern context. These are not lectures. They are guided inquiries where you can bring your life's questions and find reflection in the texts.
Retreats
When the city noise becomes too loud, we step away. Our residential retreats in serene locations like Nashik are designed to help you disconnect from digital demands and reconnect with your rhythm. These include morning kriyas, pranayama, anatomy sessions, and evening kirtans, giving you a full reset.
Whether you are joining us for a weekend immersion or a full-day seminar, our goal is the same: to help you return to your daily life with a little more clarity and a lot more grace.
