When you step onto the mat for aerial silks or strap on skates for artistic training, you are not just working out. We focus on the mechanics of each movement, like using your core to hold a pose on silks or maintaining ankle stability on skates. Bring your own gear if you have it, but for our studio sessions, I ensure we prioritize safety with proper spotting techniques so you can progress without fear of injury.

Building Core Strength and Agility

These classes are for anyone who wants to move beyond standard gym routines.

Artistic Skating: This isn't just about rolling forward. We integrate ballet techniques with skating to build grace, footwork precision, and posture. Whether you are learning to balance, pivot, or hold an arabesque, the focus remains on controlling your center of gravity. We use wall mirrors in the studio for real-time form correction, helping you see exactly where your alignment needs adjustment.

Aerial Silks: This is a high-demand workout for the upper body and core. You will learn to control your body weight as you climb, wrap, and pose. Because it is physically demanding, we start with foundational strength exercises before moving to complex maneuvers.

Safety and Infrastructure:

  • Spotting: I personally provide instructor-assisted spotting, especially during inversions and high-risk maneuvers.
  • Studio Environment: Our training spaces in Kolkata feature non-abrasive floors and equipment suitable for these specialized skills.
  • Progression: We conduct regular flexibility assessments. This ensures you are ready for more advanced movements like flips or splits before attempting them on your own.
