Design is a dialogue between materials. We specialize in interiors that blend the raw, honest texture of in-situ terrazzo and polished concrete with the timeless warmth of solid teak wood.

A glimpse into the kitchen of 'A Home Set in Stone', where the cool grey of the in-situ terrazzo floor meets the warm teak of the cabinetry. The frosted glass and handmade tiles add another layer of texture.

This bathroom in the 'House of Skye' features pastel green terrazzo walls and a custom-cast slate grey terrazzo sink. The seamless finish and the meeting of two different terrazzo colors in one space is a detail I particularly love.

A close-up of a cast in-situ white terrazzo sink resting on a simple rubberwood base. The contrast between the smooth, speckled terrazzo and the vertical lines of the subway tiles behind it creates a subtle textural dialogue.

In this master bedroom, the grey terrazzo floor provides a cool, monolithic base for the custom teak bed and moss-green fabric headboard. The material choices are designed to create a feeling of tranquility and groundedness.

A modern bathroom design featuring a bold blue vanity and mirror frame against industrial polished concrete (IPS) walls. The geometric floor tiles add a graphic element to the space.

This bathroom in the 'House of Canopies' opens to a private gravel court, blending the rawness of the polished concrete interior with the natural elements outside. The large wooden window frames add warmth to the composition.

The transition from a patterned tile floor in the dining area to a smooth polished concrete floor in the kitchen. This careful detailing at the threshold defines the two spaces while maintaining a cohesive flow.

A detail of the 'House of Skye' kitchen, showing the speckled terrazzo backsplash against the custom-painted blue cabinets. Every material is chosen for its unique character and ability to contribute to the overall story of the home.

The upper corridor of the 'House of Canopies' features a slatted teak wood ceiling, which adds warmth and a linear rhythm that contrasts with the board-formed concrete of the walls.

A hallway where the in-situ terrazzo floor climbs partway up the wall, creating a durable and visually continuous wainscoting. This detail is juxtaposed with the warmth of the teak door and fluted glass panels.

About Material Craft: Terrazzo, Concrete & Wood

The beauty of in-situ terrazzo lies in its physical depth and finish. Unlike pre-cast tiles, we pour our terrazzo mixtures directly on-site, allowing us to control the exact blend of stone chips and brass dividers. This process creates a seamless floor that flows across room thresholds without a single break, resulting in a surface that gains character and softens with age.
