We believe spaces gain character through the honest application of natural materials. From ribbed walnut and reclaimed teak to cast-in-situ terrazzo, we prioritize tactile authenticity over ornamentation.

A detail of the flooring in the Terrazzo Residence. We love using cast-in-situ terrazzo with brass dividers, which creates a seamless, durable, and visually interesting surface that feels wonderful underfoot.

Intricate details matter. This custom-made brass jaali screen in the Terrazzo Residence is a modern interpretation of a traditional Indian design element, adding a layer of delicate craftsmanship.

The beauty of natural wood is highlighted in this close-up of the oval coffee table in the West Coast Residence. The rich grain and smooth finish invite touch.

The entrance lobby at our Bayview project features a wall clad in ribbed walnut veneer. The texture of the wood, combined with the warm glow of the pendant lights, creates a sophisticated and welcoming first impression.

This cascading glass chandelier in the House of Terraces was chosen to complement the double-height, barrel-vaulted wooden ceiling, adding a touch of modern glamour to the rustic warmth of the wood.

About Materiality & Craftsmanship

When we select materials, we are not just looking at the visual finish. We consider how the grain of recycled Burma teak or the texture of cast-in-situ terrazzo will age over time. This approach requires us to source directly from trusted suppliers and work alongside specialized craftsmen who understand how to handle these natural substrates. While this process means accounting for meticulous hand-finishing, the result is a home that gains character with every passing year rather than one that fades with fleeting trends.
