About Residential Architecture & Interior Design
Our Approach
We see every home as a story, not just a structure. For us, design is about how you move through a space, how sun and breeze play with your rooms, and whether your home feels peaceful or busy. Less is more, always. We let your life guide the plan, not just trends.
New Homes—Modern or Rooted
- We love working from scratch—modern villas with big skylights, open courtyards, or homes that keep Indian roots alive.
- You'll see us use lots of natural light, open layouts, and smart features like walk-in closets or tucked-away pantries.
- Facades matter to us; sometimes it’s clean lines, sometimes it’s brick or Mangalore tiles that speak of home.
- If you want a Vaastu-compliant house plan or something inspired by nalukettu veedu, we’re all in. We use stuff like Athangudi tiles, Sadarahalli stone, and local brick—nothing too flashy, always honest.
Makeovers & Reconfigurations
- We get a kick out of transforming lived-in apartments or houses into places that actually fit your day-to-day.
- Minimalist apartment interiors, neutral palettes, open plans—these help make small spaces feel big and peaceful.
- Sometimes, we turn one big, awkward room into zones: like a chill bedroom, a gaming den, and a sneaky pantry all-in-one.
Details & Process
- Our process? It starts with a pencil sketch. Then we go deep—renders, drawings, and hands-on with local artisans.
- We believe in getting the texture right, the color right, even the way a handle feels—these little things make it yours.
If you want a home that’s easy, light-filled, and has a bit of you in every corner, that’s what we do.

My Story
Hey, we’re Ambica and Jhashank from Studio Wight. For us, architecture’s not just walls and roofs, it’s the vibe you get walking in—be it a playful Anganwadi school or a modern villa with crazy light and shadow play. One day we’re deep in Nalukettu house design (Kerala style, so much Vastu), next day, we’re sketching mushroom labs. We love mixing tradition with what’s new, always chasing that good energy and making spaces that actually feel alive.
My Work
Architecture, Interiors & Landscape - We design homes, offices, schools, labs—pretty much any space you can think of. Full-service, no shortcuts.
Sustainable & Climate-Friendly Design - We’re big on native landscape design and buildings that breathe—low carbon, low fuss, lots of smart cross-ventilation.
Tradition Meets Modern - Vernacular home interiors, Nalukettu and Chettinad vibes mixed with clean, minimal lines. Nostalgia plus new-age.
Hands-On & Detail Obsessed - From sketch to handover, we’re in it. Shoutout to our craftspeople—the real magicians behind every project.
