About Workshops for Kids 🧒
Paani aur mitti se darna nahi hai—don’t worry about the mess, that’s just part of the fun. Your child won’t just sit and watch; they’ll get their hands into the clay, build, shape, and create something completely their own. Whether it’s a wonky mug, a textured plate, or a clay figure, they learn that it’s perfectly okay if it’s not ‘perfect,’ as long as it’s honest and handmade by them.
Think of our studio in Ghatkopar as a space to slow down. For kids, life is usually go-go-go, but at our workshops, the pace changes completely. We don't focus on strict technique or rigid rules. Instead, we focus on sensory play and building confidence.
Why it’s different here
Most classes treat pottery like an art theory lecture. We treat it like a playground. Your kids will use non-toxic, kid-safe materials to pinch, coil, and sculpt their own creations. We have even hosted 'Mommy n Me' sessions where we get the little ones and their parents working side-by-side. It is a fantastic way to bond without anyone checking a phone.
The process
Once your child creates their masterpiece, we don't just hand it back wet. We take it through the real ceramic process—drying, bisque firing, glazing, and a final high-temperature kiln cycle. This makes their art waterproof and food-safe. Because we do this properly, it takes about 3 to 4 weeks for their pieces to be ready for collection.
Practical stuff
- Age: We keep sessions open for ages 5 and up.
- Group size: We host private birthday parties and small group workshops.
- Experience: Zero. We guide them step-by-step so they always leave with something they are proud to show off at home.
So, if you are looking for creative kids' activities in Mumbai that actually involve getting dirty and making memories, bring them over. Let them bring home a little piece of art they made with their own two hands.
Studio Hands inClay
Hi, I’m Aparnaa, and I run the show here at Studio Hands InClay. I believe clay is the ultimate cure for bored weekends—it's honest, messy, and the best way to let kids be kids. My balcony studio is designed for exactly that kind of chaos-meets-calm.
