Clay Play and Pottery Workshops for Kids and Adults
There is a special kind of magic in getting your hands messy with clay. Whether you are a toddler exploring sensory textures or an adult sculpting a Ganesha idol, our sessions are about more than just art. They are about focus, confidence, and learning to shape your imagination.
A beautiful display of our handmade Ganesha idols, each one unique and crafted with love during our workshop. The fairy lights add a little magic to the finished creations.
The look of wonder and concentration on these young faces says it all. This collage captures the beautiful process of creating and welcoming Bappa with their own hands.
A close-up of the finished clay Ganesha idols, each with its own personality. You can see the little details, from the modaks to the expressions, that the kids added themselves.
Proud moment! The young artists gather to show off the Ganesha idols they sculpted. It’s a wonderful feeling to see them stand by their collective achievement.
Here are some of our students proudly displaying the beautiful clay photo frames they created. It’s a wonderful project that combines sculpting with personalization.
Watch the focus as this little artist uses tools to carefully carve details into his clay frame. This activity is excellent for developing fine motor skills and patience.
Just look at their happy faces! This is the result of a fun and fulfilling clay session. They are so proud to hold up the photo frames they made all by themselves.
Here, a student is carefully coiling the clay to create a textured border for her frame. This technique, called coiling, is a fundamental skill in pottery and clay art.
This is our clay play time in action. I guide the children as they learn to knead, roll, and shape the clay, providing a fantastic sensory experience for everyone.
"Boxing karke dikhao!" I make clay sessions fun and physical, encouraging kids to punch and roll the clay to prepare it. This video shows how we make learning tactile and exciting.
About Clay Play & Pottery Fun
In our studio, we don't just hand out supplies and let you sit there. We teach techniques that change the way you handle mud. Whether you are learning how to coil clay for a photo frame or using water polish to smooth out the fine details of a Ganesha idol, you will see how these simple steps turn raw clay into something you are proud to display at home.
Clay is a sensory experience that grounds us. In our CR Park studio, we focus on the process rather than just the final product.
Why focus on clay play?
- Fine Motor Skills: Kneading, rolling, and shaping strengthen small hand muscles, which is crucial for toddlers and preschoolers.
- Focus and Patience: Learning to 'water polish' your creation or coiling clay into a border requires steady hands and attention, helping children practice patience.
- Emotional Outlet: There is something deeply satisfying about punching or molding clay. It is a form of expression that lets kids shout, laugh, and breathe while they create.
What we offer: Our sessions are open to everyone from toddlers to grandparents. We hold small batches of 4 to 8 students, which ensures that every child gets the personal attention they need to feel confident. We cover a range of projects from functional items like photo frames to traditional festival idols like Ganesha or DIY decor.
We also prioritize sustainability. You will often find us teaching how to upcycle materials, ensuring that our love for art is also a kindness to Mother Earth. If you are an adult, don't worry about 'being good at art.' You just need the curiosity to start. We provide all the specialized base materials, tools, and aprons. Come as you are, make a mess, and let us help you find the artist within.
Curious Minds DIY
I am the heart behind Curious Minds. I used to design logos, but now I design messy clay tables and happy faces. My studio in CR Park is a judgment-free zone where we don't just make art; we build confidence, one sculpture at a time.
