About Our Special Workshops ✨
Our special workshops are designed to break the routine. Unlike standard sessions, these focus on specific interests like sound healing collaborations or creating custom bowls for your pets. We keep group sizes small, so you get plenty of hands-on guidance to actually finish your project, rather than rushing through it.
Beyond the Basics: Workshops at Studio Hands inClay
We believe pottery is a playground for your imagination. That is why we move beyond standard wheel-throwing to offer experiences that help you reconnect.
Pottery Meets Sound Healing This is our most unique collaboration. We pair the rhythmic, grounding work of clay with the deep vibrations of a sound bath led by expert sound healer Madhurima. It starts with a guided meditation to clear your head, followed by a hand-building session. We often end with a liberating Clay Smash—a physical release of stress that participants tell us is incredibly therapeutic.
Custom & Themed Creations Want to make something specific? Our 'Get Mugged' workshop is perfect for those who want a functional, everyday piece they can be proud of. We also host pet-friendly sessions where you can sculpt a custom bowl for your cat or dog. For the artistic souls, we teach Sgraffito—a technique where you carve patterns into clay to reveal a contrasting color underneath.
What to Expect
- Materials Included: Stoneware clay, tools, glazes, and aprons are all provided.
- Post-Session Care: We handle the firing and glazing (bisque and glaze firing) to make your pieces food-safe and waterproof.
- Timeline: Your creation needs time to dry and go through the kiln, so expect to collect your masterpiece in 3 to 4 weeks.
Ghatkopar might feel like a trek, but our balcony studio provides a green, airy space away from the city chaos. It is where chai aur baarish meets creative expression.
