Classical Hatha Yoga: Authentic Practices for Inner Transformation
We offer Classical Hatha Yoga exactly as designed by Sadhguru—a system of powerful, equipment-free tools for physical strength, mental clarity, and inner stability, taught without music or props.
This is a glimpse of Angamardana, a fitness system rooted in yoga. It revitalizes the body on all levels, including the muscular, skeletal, and nervous systems. It is a comprehensive workout that takes years off the body.
Participants deeply involved in their Angamardana practice. This system invigorates the body, bringing a sense of lightness and freedom. It is a practice of tremendous antiquity, offered today in its purest form.
A practitioner holds a posture during an Angamardana session. The focus is on the process and inner alignment, not just achieving the perfect physical form. This is how the body becomes a vessel for a higher possibility.
Surya Kriya is a potent yogic practice and the original form of sun salutation. It is a holistic process for health and inner wellbeing, helping to relieve chronic pains, balance hormones, and bring clarity of thought.
A look inside one of our workshops. Here, participants learn to create a distance between themselves and their thought process. Once you establish this space, it is the end of suffering.
As Sadhguru says, I can afford to be lost and joyful at the same time because I know he is there. This is the freedom that the practice brings, allowing you to be joyful no matter the external or internal situation.
About The Practices: Tools for Transformation
When you step into our Suncity, Gurgaon studio, you will notice the difference immediately. There are no mirrors, no upbeat music, and no props. These practices are designed for inner stability, not external display. My team and I have completed over 1750 hours of intensive training at the Isha Yoga Center to ensure that the geometry of each posture is taught with precision, preventing injury and ensuring the practice actually works.
Understanding Classical Hatha Yoga
Most modern yoga has become a form of exercise, focusing on flexibility and aesthetics. Here, we return to the root. Whether you are seeking the dynamic strength of Angamardana, the stability of Surya Kriya, or the simple, joint-lubricating sequences of Upa Yoga, the approach remains the same: total attention to the process.
The Sthiram Difference
We do not teach flow sequences. We teach systems. When you join a weekend learning workshop, you aren't just learning to touch your toes. You are learning a 30-45 minute daily practice that becomes a part of your life.
- Angamardana: A system of dynamic exercises that strengthens the muscular, skeletal, and nervous systems. It requires zero equipment and is perfect for maintaining fitness while traveling.
- Surya Kriya: The original form of sun salutation. This is not just a workout; it is a holistic process to balance your energy system, helping with hormonal regulation and mental clarity.
Our Studio Space
Our studio in Sector 54, Gurugram, is a consecrated space. The atmosphere is designed to support stillness. We use marble flooring, oil lamps, and silence to create an environment where you can actually work on your internal state. It is a no-frills setting because we believe that when you strip away the entertainment, you can finally connect with the practice itself.
We keep batch sizes small—between 5 to 10 participants—to provide 1-on-1 posture correction. You will leave with the capability to practice independently.
Sthiram - Isha Hatha Yoga
We are a team of Isha-certified teachers who walked the path before we started teaching it. We don't believe in improving ancient systems; we offer them in their pure, classical form to help you find that necessary distance between you and your mind.
