Immersive Classical Hatha Yoga Retreats in Nature
Step away from the rush. We combine the stillness of classical Hatha Yoga with the serenity of the Himalayas for a transformative inner journey.
An invitation to our upcoming yoga retreat. These journeys are an opportunity to learn a powerful practice like Surya Shakti while exploring sacred natural landscapes, such as trekking to Deoria Tal lake.
It is a privilege to witness the profound experiences of those who join our yoga retreats. This is a short compilation of participants sharing their journey of learning Surya Kriya and finding a deeper sense of calm, focus, and inner meaning.
A participant shares her experience from one of our yoga retreats. She describes it as the "greatest decision" and a gift to herself, feeling that the universe conspired to bring her back to her Surya Kriya practice. It is wonderful to see her reconnect with herself.
About Yoga Retreats: Immersive Journeys
These are not leisure trips. We spend our mornings deeply immersed in Isha Hatha Yoga practices like Surya Shakti or Surya Kriya, followed by treks through sacred landscapes. You should come prepared to prioritize your discipline, even while surrounded by the beauty of the Dhauladhar mountains.
Why combine yoga and trekking? It is about applying the stillness of yoga to the dynamic environment of the Himalayas. We select sacred sites like Kasar Devi and the winter seat of Tunganath to provide a backdrop that naturally supports inner quiet.
Each day follows a set rhythm. You learn powerful tools like Surya Shakti—which strengthens the heart and immunity—through guided, rigorous instruction. We avoid the common pitfalls of retreats that function as vacations. There is no music and no fluff. Just the raw, powerful, classical practices.
We keep our groups small to ensure every participant receives individual attention and correction. Whether we are trekking to Deoria Tal or practicing in a quiet mountain hall, the focus remains on the geometry of the body and the alignment of the mind. By the end of these few days, you carry back more than memories of the mountains. You carry a practice that you can sustain in your daily life, long after you return home.
Sthiram - Isha Hatha Yoga
I am Shruti, and these retreats are an extension of the same discipline we practice in our Gurgaon studio. We take the structure of classical Hatha Yoga into the mountains, allowing the quiet of nature to deepen your inner work.
