Hands-On Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Training
Learn the art of Yog Chikitsa under my personal guidance. This training focuses on physical adjustments, prop-based therapy, and understanding the root cause of ailments to help you heal others effectively.
Correct alignment is crucial for healing. Here, I am guiding a student through Viparita Virabhadrasana (Reverse Warrior Pose), ensuring their posture is supported to prevent injury and maximize the therapeutic benefits for the spine and core.
A group setting allows for collective learning and energy. I move through the class providing individual adjustments, as seen here, to help each student deepen their understanding of poses like Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward-Facing Dog).
My training covers a wide range of therapeutic applications, from mat-based adjustments to prop-assisted techniques. This video shows the diversity of our practice, including spinal twists and aerial inversions, all part of a single session.
About Hands-On Therapeutic Training
In my training, you will not just watch videos. I personally guide your hands during adjustments to ensure your touch is safe and effective. We use props like wheels, ropes, and aerial setups to create traction for spinal issues, teaching you how to physically support a student with a slip disc, frozen shoulder, or cervical pain.
Transitioning from a yoga teacher to a yoga healer requires more than knowing how to perform asanas. It requires an understanding of anatomy, pathology, and the specific application of therapeutic props.
My Approach to Therapeutic Training
I structure my courses around the concept of Yog Chikitsa. We look at the bimari ki jadd (the root cause of the disease). Whether you opt for my 100-hour Spinal & Joint Therapy specialization or the comprehensive 400-hour Diploma in Medical Yoga, the curriculum is hands-on.
- Functional Anatomy: You will learn to interpret basic X-ray and MRI reports. Understanding a student's skeletal limitations is essential for safe practice.
- Prop-Based Alignment: We go beyond the mat. You will be trained in Iyengar-inspired techniques using wooden blocks, straps, wheels for backbending, and rope wall traction to safely decompress the spine.
- Clinical Protocols: We cover specialized sequences for diabetes, PCOS, hypertension, and chronic musculoskeletal pain.
